With people like Incubus420 and dpclark around, I'm very glad that there are at least a few people in this world who acknowledge the various problems that we still haven't managed to overcome. Without a shift in narrative (one that is veering more towards an egalitarian representation of society and that shows the perspectives of not just the majority or ones in charge, but also everyone else), I don't seem much purpose in storytelling. Why shove the same tales/stories down our throats (especially us in the minority) when it won't bring anything truly helpful to the table?

Here in the USA (and I'm assuming, just from the comments that many of you here have made that you are Americans, too), there's not enough work being done on the issues that Second-Wave Feminism stood for. Meanwhile, countries like Sweden, Norway, and Iceland are really starting to push for 2nd wave and possibly even a 3rd wave of feminism. We should aspire to be like the Swedes, Icelandic people, and the Norwegians, if anything, who are also among the Top 20 most peaceful countries in the world.

Our education sector is continuing to go down the tubes, we are continuing to be the World Police (ranked 99th out of 162 countries) for the Global Peace Index, the gap between the rich and poor is growing...so many aspects are getting increasingly worse, and we just sit around, pretending that all racism and sexism (along with the many other, far more neglected, overlooked forms of discrimination) have been eliminated (when we eveb haven't picked up where we left off with our earlier generations in fighting these forms of oppression), that there's nothing to fix about our nation, or nothing that we can fix.

Isn't it incredible what kinds of double standards society has in place? People can so easily get all mad at the rich and corporations for controlling their lives and taking away their freedoms/rights, but when it comes to making it easier for the less fortunate groups in society (women and minorities), they just do as they please. Talk about logic. Geez. People sure are messed up in their heads. Maybe that makes most of the discriminating, oppressive people all sociopaths. How about we get "Europeanized" even more and come up with some anti-hate crime laws? Maybe that would solve the problems of inequality and corruption in society?

Capitalism is dead. It's reached its heights, even in terms of things like activism (better off with a much more socialized system that would make all of this easier rather than constantly battling with an unequal capitalist system), and now it's a downward spiral from here, most likely with the rich turning this into a fascist state over a longer period of time. And I certainly don't think the masses will ever be truly ready for facing climate change, so long as they're so ignorant, especially most of us, Americans.

@Pilgrim117How very mature of you (*sarcasm*). Great. Just what we need more of.A lot of ignorant (but not everyone) petit bourgeois (middle class) and many incredibly uneducated "normal" poor individuals so bored that their only viable form of entertainment in a democratic society is to bully the oppressed around. No different from the many rich folks who do the same to everyone else.

I wish that we'd already be heavily working on technologies for a transhumanist future, so as to eliminate the barriers between class, gender, etc. because evolution in human beings, apparently, can't get past things like inequality, greed, discriminating against other groups of society (usually women and minorities) other than one's own, etc. And just as people with gender dysphoria should be able to have a sex change, then I guess people could eventually choose other options for their biological makeup, too. For instance, women who feel that they should be on equal footing with men in strength could get the necessary advanced surgery that would make it into a reality.

Overall, I'm sick of this very capitalist, democratic way of society, especially here in America, where either it's mob rule or an oligarchy. If the majority is not complaining about the rich, everybody else is complaining about the majority (including me) about their treatment towards us minorities (i.e. not-so-good-looking people, people with mental/physical illnesses/disabilities, people of other races, etc.) and women.

As far as this country goes, I feel like I'm through with its oppression, and Europe seems like a much better alternative with its more socialistic ways, especially in Scandinavian countries, even with countries like France and Germany. So, yeah, I don't think I'll stick around here forever.

Too bad to hear that the same assets as Human Head's won't be used. Oh, well. I guess I still have Cyberpunk 2077 to look forward to from CD Projekt, and that game is an actual RPG, not another shooter. For a cyberpunk setting to show up in an RPG, it's been pretty rare for the most part, especially with an open world setting, so this should be interesting to see.

Never have been much of a shooter fan anyways.

@Yamakoichi @Mawy_Golomb @White_Wolf_Kiba Well, if you're saying that there are serious flaws in the feminist movement today and that we need to work harder on the overlooked areas as well, then I'd say that I agree with you.

It seems like as soon as a women or other discriminated against group gets something out of the anti-discrimination laws out there, most of them just take advantage of it and act all arrogant and careless about the rest of us. And for white, privileged, able-bodied (not physically/mentally ill women), that seems to be the case a lot. So, you see, even as a feminist (or pro-feminist, if that's what you prefer to call a pro-women's rights male), I can give out criticism towards feminism as a whole, while still pointing out the things that it can do for society as a whole if handled properly.

It would do so much more justice to society if people looked at combating ableism and classism, with feminism playing some part as well, particularly because in those two categories of discrimination, women are still the most oppressed out of the two genders that exist. That said, people should take about physically/mentally ill people and people of lower/middle class status as well, in addition to race and other areas.

@Yamakoichi @White_Wolf_Kiba No place in western society? What about all the other minority groups (including women), who really don't get the treatment they deserve? White feminists? Able-bodied feminists (who then go on to discriminate against physically/mentally disabled people)? Middle class or rich feminists? Sure, they are a whole lot better off than the rest of the women out there.

It's not so much that feminism needs to leave our society; it's the fact that many of them complain about the same issues, over and over again, whilst overlooking intersectionality itself, which is a study of how different minority/discriminated against groups intersect with one another. To really understand what needs to be done in our society, we need to look at race, gender, ability (physically/mentally), class, etc. and how they all affect one another to help bring about an egalitarian society.

@komuchen @fredyellowone Maybe if the media stopped looking at all of the things wrong with our youth and portrayed a more positive side of them in movies, TV, games, etc., it would inspire more young people to act maturely and make smart decisions in their lives. But if people continue to throw around the stereotypical idea that most teens are annoying, stupid, and troublemakers, then things like this aren't going to get much better anytime soon.
