I've swapped the two around and nothing seems to have changed. So do you reckon it's a hardware problem? With my Mac or with the Hub?

Hi. I've been running the following setup for about a year and it has worked adequately. I have an old Windows XP computer with my BT Hub on it, a Delllaptop which connects wirelessly, and a Mac G5 Tower which connects via ethernet.

Recently, the Mac stopped receiving the internet connection. I went to the Windows XP and received the warning on loadup of "System Battery Voltage Low", and the PCwent on to restart itself several times. When I can get on to it for a few minutes, the internet does work, however it willnormally freeze or restart.

Thelaptop downstairs works fine. It's what I'm using now. I don't know the relevance particularly.

My Mac is saying that there is no detected connection via ethernet. I have done the obvious restarts androuter resets etc, and I feel I have exhausted my limited artillery of virtual defences.

Can anyone point me in a direction?

Thanks

Hi, I recently got a new Mac. I would like to put all of the songs and music from my PC onto it. They are connected via Ethernet.

I have used guides I have found on Google, but they all seem too complex for what I want to do and offer more than what I want.

Can anyone here give me a simple guide on how to make the Music folder on my PC available on this Mac?

Thanks.

Google of course was the first place I looked, but none-the-less thanks for the sny comment.

I believe Floola, and all the others I have found, ask for a registration key/card details etc after a certain amount of songs, or aren't compatible with iPod Touches.

I did try to transfer the songs from my PC to this computer. I was never very good at the whole network thing before, but it seems to have gotten even more complicated when transferring from a PC to a Mac. I found some ways to do it online but I just can't get my head around them, being a total Mac noob :( I've gotten as far as sharing my Music folder on the PC (So I have it shared with my X Box, for example), but I don't know how to view/receive it on the Mac. Anyone able to help with that?

Senuti claims to have a 1000 song download limit, which should have worked for me because I have just under 1000 songs on my iPod... however, it stopped after about 400, and wouldn't download anymore, claiming to be over the limit.

If there is a Mac version of Sharepod then I simply just can't find it. It's the first place I looked as I used it on my PC.

iTunes will only backup songs that have been purchased from the iTunes store. Most of the songs in my library have not.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a program which can transfer the contents from my iPod Touch to my new Mac? All I've found so far are those which require a registraion key or have a limit of songs. Are there any which are 100% free? Or at least with no download limit?

Thanks.
