Today is the day I shall enlighten you all about the stupidity of purchasing Sony's Playstation 3 and the Nintendo Wii. Lets deal with sony first shall we?
The Playstation 3 is essentially a gimped version of Microsoft's Xbox 360, and it is starting to show with the quality of games coming out for it. True that FF 13 and MGS4 will be quality games indeed, but did the PS2 find success in having two solid franchises? The Ps3 was so successful due to the fact that it offered superior games in nearly every genre. Add in an online service that is functional at best and you have an extemely mediocre system at best.
Now the wii...
Theres no denying the wii has experienced incredible success, and will most likely continue that trend. But for what reasons? Well the price most likely has the biggest impact on sales due to simple economics, and the "wow" factor of the wiimote has most likely persuaded many to buy as well. Mario will be good, as will SSBB. But wheres the 3rd party games nintendo? If you are not interested in the Mario universe and SSBB, there is not really any good reason to purchase a wii at this time.
