Surprised it was not a 9, but then again I just taken a look at the scores from Gamespot recently and they seem to be a full number lower than usual (with the exception of Assassins Creed: Black Flag). Not saying that the 8 isn't justified, I do believe this year's release got the "Meh" response from gamers.

Hey Angry Joe can we get a few reviews on these to shed some light?

Yeah talk about irony,

First HAL0 came out with the regenerating health and quick button melee, but that was science fiction shields so of course. The Call of Duty copied the regenerative health but kick in the bullets through cover and lower damage threshold. Then HAL0 4 and Battlefield 3 copied Call of Duty. Now it doesn't matter what FPS you get. They all act the same with different backgrounds and modeled weapons.

Yeah MW3 and the annual release is going to be the major downers of the franchise. They give their development team NO time to evolve the franchise.

Sounds like typical activision. Don't worry about making a new game just regurgitate our latest best seller onto a new disc and sell it as a new game. Whoever buys this game is a sucker and keeps companies like EA in business.

It looks like it had a lower budget than the previous games. However with the economy the past couple of years and looking at other games that has been released within the last year I would say the entire industry is on the B-Team as they had to cut back on the budget for game development.

Total MindF***, Now we go on this alternate universe that explains the begenning and drops this bombshell, but that is not as suprising as what happens next, however the following event really shocks you as on....and on....and on...till they girls kill you. Next thing to find out that Liz is also the Little Sisters lol.

The problem with the whole COD is that the variety is not there. You can't make a game that will please everyone. Also the sad fact is that other game developers tend to play follow the leader which is the last thing we need. Especially when the leader is OVERMILKING the franchise with yearly releases. I can understand a new game every two years with the exception of sports games which are seasonal by nature. But with Cod 2013 comming out just after we got BO2 I am dreading what we will see in CoD 2014.
