I'm so glad the world doesn't work the way fanboys want it to.

I think even if we were causing global warming, nothing people have proposed could stop it. We would have to go back to living like pre-Industrial peoples if we wanted to stop global warming.

And what about precipitation? If temperatures rise, then doesn't that mean more precipitation? Wouldn't that also mean more precipitation in the polar regions? If a place like Antarctica is already well below freezing, a few degrees shouldn't melt anything. In fact, wouldn't there be more ice due to increased precipitation?

I also don't understand the terminology of the phenomenon. For two decades, it had been called global warming, now it is called climate change. Well, yes the climate does change. We've also had colder periods and warmer periods throughout human history.

Red Dead Redemption deserved it in every way. 90% of the haters are either trolls or butt-hurt Mass Effect fanboys.

RDR is the right choice. For once, maybe I'll agree with Gamespot's GOTY.

How can you hate on RDR's ending? It was one of the most memorable endings to a video game that I've ever seen.

blue_hazy_basic

My answer is with minimal spoilers, was that:

1. you saw it coming a MILE away, its like R* was beating you with a bloody sign that it was coming.

2. Why step out and fire when you could have had the same result without doing so?

3. I did like it but its been done so many times before that it felt cliched in a western setting. RDR was my second choice for GOTY, I loved it, don't really get the hate it receives, my only issue withe the awards was for that one.

My answer with **SPOILERS**:

*****SPOILERS*******

1. It was apparent from the beginning. The story is larger than Marston's. The story is actually about the death of the Old West. In with the railroad, telegraph, automobile, federalism, and out with the outlaw, the horse, a land of simplicity. It wasn't supposed to be a surprise.

2. He basically committed suicide. He knew he couldn't run.

3. I can't really recall a good western video game with a good story. Yes, there were cliche parts of the game, but they were supposed to be there. I also don't remember a game in this generation where the main character dies.

END SPOILERS******************************************

The only reason that RTS has not made a complete transition to consoles is the fact that, excluding Starcraft, the RTS genre caters to a relatively small group of gamers. Most console gamers are not these gamers.

There haven't really been any disappointing games that I've played this year. All of the games I've bought meet or exceed expectations. SC: Conviction might be borderline disappointment just because there wasn't a solid mulitplayer, but I still had a lot of fun with that game.

And to say RDR is anything short of greatness is the highest form of heresy.

Well considering how UC2 didn't do anything differently than UC1 except for better graphics, a shield, and snow, and yet it is called a "masterpiece", I guess all UC3 has to do is get better graphics and make a desert level.

spookykid143

I doubt you even played it

I have played it..both of them actually. Beaten both of them. They're good games, but UC2 deserve nowhere near the amount of praise that it gets.
