Hi guys, for a number of months now my VISTA has attempted a Windows update wihout any luck (I do have a legit pre-installed version). For awhile everything was fine, now everytime it prompts up for an upate I get the update screen at the beginning after a restart, and says it's failed. It now does this all the time & my VISTA hasn't been updated at all because of it.

Hi guys, for awhile my system has been attempting to install Windows update but as it does this before I login to Windows, it says unsuccesful and takes about 20 minutes to restart with previous settings. Any ideas? It was updating fine before.

Can you guys, hand on heart, honestly say to me, when the game gets hectic, you experience not a hint of a slow down at any point? I find that hard to believe.

By no means have I been a prominent gamer on modern day systems, though in comparison to the experiences I've had very recently (more so GTA4 on the PS3), I'm looking back more fondly on the generation of systems that actually produced games their console platforms were capable of running. When I brought my copy of GTA4, the first thing that struck me right off the bat, was the stuttering frame rate. Now don't get me wrong, it's not un-playable by any means, but for those who like our entertainment seamless & without horrible glitches, this generation just doesn't seem upto par.

Immediatley I started scouring reviews online to see if my opinion was echoed, oddly it was not, and I couldn't see as to why there wasn't more discontent than what there was. I consulted my friend & he echoed my concerns, as we talked about the standard of today's games, believing games are now obviously punching above their weight on systems that simply can't handle them.

In an industry which is allegedly now becomming as big or bigger than Hollywood, I don't think it's un-fair to expect the same kind of smooth & seamless presentation from the game world, as we'd expect when watching a movie.

Thoughts?

With my firewall turned on, my PS3 does not pick up the TVersity server. However if I turn the firewall off, it comes up no probs. I've already got the TVersity media server set as an exception under the firewall settings, so any ideas?
