Hey guys, I'd love some help. I'm running a toshiba laptop running vista 32 bit. Its about a 4 year old laptop that i have running perfectly. I just have no space left and i need a bigger harddrive. I have Macrium Refelect Free edition. I created a Linux Boot Disc and a complete clone copy of my current 120gb harddrive thats only gotabout 10 gb free space left. Last night i ordered a 320gb Western Digital sata 5400rpm harddrive for it, as it was a AWESOME deal. My question is. When i take out the current harddrive and put in the new 320gb and boot from the linux cd, run the external harddrive with the cloned image will i beable to copy the WHOLE laptop as it is running to the new 320gb drive without any problems? As in no driver problems or running errors, or things such as the computer wont run at all or some programs wont run as parts of the .dll are missing etc. I'm very concerned, i just want to make sure when i plug the external drive in with the cloned image of the current harddrive, that i'l beable to successfully import the image to the new harddrive.

One last tiny thing, if for whatever reason the new drive doesnt work out, or when i put it in and copy over the image i relize i want to go back to the old 120gb ORIGINAL harddrive, will i beable to simply put the old harddrive back in and boot windows up as I was able to before the new harddrive? Windows wont have any memory issue or issue with the drives being switched over will it? Please help me bacause I have a lot of school things coming up and i need the laptop fixed asap. Thanks everyone!

The hdmi cable is the very best connection you can have. It's full Hd supporting up to 1080p and 7.1 surround sound. I believe what your asking is does it carry audio and picture. Yes is the answer. You only need a single Hdmi cable for your 360 is you have a hdmi input in a tv or moniter. You dont need the componet or compiste wires for audio or any video. However vga is used for some instences if your using a moniter to hdmi such as a computer screen or some tvs, then you will need a seperate audio source for this hence the left and right white and red audio wires. But if you have a HD tv with a tv you will only need a single hdmi cable. And to save you even more don't go and buy a $100 or more hdmi cable, go to monoprice.com, newegg.com or even amazon.com and search for a good quality hdmi cable there. They do the same thing as these big expensive cables and are going for $6 bucks or so. Hope all this helped.

Yeah well, i have a budget of no more than $1,600 for a tv, warranty for the tv, the tv stand, and the ps3 with a warranty for the ps3,also with a game like uncharted. And Adding all that up with the price of the 26 inch samsung, it fits in that price range. When i look at the 32 inch tvs either sony or samsung they get wicked expensive. Has anyone had any first hand experience with using there ps3 manly as their blu ray movie player and a up-converting dvd player and an occasinonal game or two? As far as a standard dvd playing on a high deffinition tv using hdmi, can someone tell me if it will look kind of gritty and low end? or will it look as good as it does playing on my standard tube tv that i have now. (ive seen how a standard dvd can look playing through componet on a regular dvd player and im affriad of the quality of the regular dvd playing through upconvert on such an expensive peice of equipment (the ps3). I would be greatly appreciative if someone could tell me how a standard dvd looks playing through hdmi on the ps3 with upconvert set on it. Thanks for the help so far guys, your making my decision that much easier.

Wow thanks, so i should deffiently go ahead and get the ps3 then instead of a standard upconverting dvd player based on what you guys said. And the only reason I'm iffy about the upconverting regular dvds is because the other hdtv i had before i returned it had my regular dvd player hooked up and i saw how a standard signal looks playing through high deff.. it was gritty and looked like a 8 year old dusty vhs tape. I'm afraid of getting all this stuff home and not being happy again. And also how do you install firefox on ps3?! lol thanks for all the help so far

Hi, I'm new to this and had a few questions to ask. I am getting a samsung 26 inch 720p lcd hdtv in the next week to two weeks. I already have a xbox 360 with hdmi, so i know that will look good on the tv, but am really wanting to get a ps3 for the blu-ray and dvd player functions. I hear that the ps3's blu ray player is one of the best on the market due to the patch updates that make it up to par with all the new players being released. I also heard that with using a hdmi cable on the ps3 the upconverting dvd function is excellent. Can you tell me if it's true? I had a hdtv before that had regular dvds running to it and they looked like complete garbage. But using hdmi with the ps3 how will my standard dvds look being upconverted through the ps3 via hdmi?

One other thing I'd really like to know is the reliblilty issues with the ps3. Now if i use it as a dvd/blu ray player will it overheat or have any issues that i should know about? And how is the internet browser with the ps3? If i get keyboard and mouse and sit back to use the net every once in a while, will it be any good? How does online work say if i want to go visit gamespot.com and watch some video reviews and post some topics on the fourms.

I'd really appreciate it if someone could help me out with these few questions I have, i have been to ebgames, and bestbuy and some other stores and everyone gets smart mouth and says oh ps3 sucks get a 360... ok but i have one already, or they just have no idea and say sorry, so I'd be really greatful if someone could help me. Thanks a lot!

If you mean can you hook up your ipod to the front and listent to it, yes you can but there have been some issues, and the controller takes 2 AA batteries, you can buy a charge and play kit for 20 dollars that comes with a rechargeable battery pack and charging cable that charges from the usb from your 360.. hope that helped

Wow thanks for everyones replies, the problem I'm having is I'll do the march and it's in place because they dont move anywhere, i get into fever mode, and then i start the rain miracle by pressing X X XX XX or how ever it goes, and bam my fever goes away! I even follow it to the best i can, what am i doing wrong? And after you get it to work i saw a video where these blurps come up where you have to play more and more notes, that looks very complicated, that will be my next problem i bet... ah i want to progress!

I really wanted to get a wireless mic, my buddy just got one and says its awesome, and i've read mixed reviews online. Mostly i've found if i do get one i should get a halo 3 wireless mic, can people tell me if this is true? How are they? How long to charge? How long is the battery life? And the quality of your voice, etc etc. Basically what should i know about them. Thanks for the help
