@Louis: Venom is a Spiderman villain in marvel comics created i the 80's during the original Secret Wars event where members of the Avengers, X-Men, Fantastic 4 and various solo heroes like Spiderman were taken to a patchwork planet to fight the greatest of Earth's villains in a ultimate good v evil showdown....

Venom was introduced as a black costume for Spiderman but later it was revealed that the costume was in fact a living entity, an alien symbiot chat enhanced a subjects abilities and bestowed powers...

it was revealed in the last decade or so maybe a little longer that the actual symbiots are peace keepers that uphold law & order but if severed from their host they go mad which is what happened to Venom and when one bonds to someone who is insane like Kleatus Cassidy they become a monster like Carnage.....meaning the entity aligns to the user on a deep level.....

needless to say Sony Pictures will royally frack this up.....

@speed45823: sad thing is when I was young 16-19 I was playing Doom & Quake...the big military games we had were crappy Spec Ops, Delta force with unrealistic capping fools from across the level with a SMG and Rainbow Six that actually was more realistic...but i only really went for doom and Quake, why?? cus they were fun and quality games....and I liked the games id made....

@gamingdevil800: yeah, i wasn't a fan of Raimi's Spiderman movies but Dafoe was a good Green Goblin, he actually was as good if not better than the animated series Goblin....

I think the better way they could have done those movies is keep the origin. have peter come up with the webbing formula himself and the web shooters and have Norman kinda stand in for the father Peter wished he had and norman taking an interest on Peter cus he's a scientist like norman then as the goblin starts to take over a rift form s near the end of the film with Harry pretty much rebelling and going off on his own and asking peter to be his room mate you'd still have that Spider v Goblin fight at the end...

in part 2 Doc Ock is doing his thing. Norman has sought therapy for split personality also he's retreating into his work and is seeing pressure from the kingpin which in turn is what really created the goblin but this is Doc Ock's story so Norman's issues is a subplot, ock suffers the accident that fuses the robot arms to his spine and loses funding for his research so he goes on a bank robbing spree prompting Spiderman wo act yadda yadda spidey beats the good doc the end, post credits tease the Green Goblin returns....

then in part 3 you have the hobgoblin running around tormenting Norman, the kingpin's henchmen putting pressure on Norman as well for failed deadlines then Green Goblin returns bigger and badder with better toys determined to destroy his enemies maybe make Kingpin's henchman the Sandman but none of that sandman killed uncle ben stuff...basically the fight would be sandman wants to kill the goblin, Goblin wants to kill the Hobgoblin, Spiderman wants to stop all 3 so in the middle of the fight Hobgoblin's mask flies off and it's Harry then Norman is conflicted then sandman takes him to the Kingpin and it's Spidey and Harry as Hobgoblin who go to save norman....

it's a rough sketch and needs more thought but off the top of my head, 1 it makes all the fights more personal, 2 the plot through all 3 connect, 4 there's reason for each villain to be doing what they're doing 5 Goblin is punched up as the primary villain and we still see a few of the other bads and it could go on from there, parts 4-6 could see Hydro, Chameleon, Shocker, Mysterio and others mysterio would be more of a small time crook spidey takes out in the intro but the others could be major bad guys....you don't bring Venom in until way late, and a really good way to do it that respects the actual origin is to tell the story as a flashback.....

it's the future, Peter and MJ are married and peter is telling MJ about some of his adventures, did i tell you about how I met Cap the first time?? you knew Captain America?? yeah this was a few years ago but me and like 50 other heroes were taken to a patchwork planet along with 50+ villains and forced to fight the ultimate battle of good vs evil but i met a lot of big legends that day, it was also where venom was born really?? oh yeah then the flashback starts shows the black suit taking over and helping to win some battle then it's Earth, New York, Queens, spiderman in the black suit taking down bad guys....aggressively and the rest of the film follows the story from there, Reed Richards helping to remove the symbiot then bonding to Eddie Brock and the epic battles with Venom and ultimately removing the thing a second time.....

^I've had time to think on that one....

@gamingdevil800: even if hois joker wasn't as demented as Ledger or unhinged as Hamill or whatever he'd be a solid choice cus he's known for playing strong villains among other great characters...

Dafoe is a great actor....kinda overlooked but man everything I've seen him in he's great...

COD needs to die 1000 deaths.....frack this franchise, kill it already, why do we need a new POS every year??? the ultimate in laziness....reskin hell is what this is, no matter the timeline they're doing it's soulless garbage.....same with Battlefield....

this crap wouldn;t be so bad if the entries were spaced 3-5 years apart.....at least then maybe they'd put some real effort in each time....hey then each game could be different, you could do other genres too and not just FPS garbage....RTS, Stealth, tactical strategy, base building and defense.....aerial combat, pure tank or battleship combat.....hell why not have some real fun and do a cop drama?

none of that Hardline crap, you play a cop who responds to a 911 call to arrive to a vacant house and a dead body, you call in the homicide and CSI unit then it shifts to the detective and you're tracking down a murderer and uncovering a conspiracy around a major drug trafficker then it switched over to a DEA agent and when you nail the drug lords you learn they also had a gun smuggling operation so it switches to a ATF agent and you track the guns back to their source, Russia where it ends leading into the next military themed game....

the call of duty should mean any civil or military service like police, armed forces, fire & rescue, DEA, ATF, FBI etc and not purely military....anyone who signs up to be a cop has a "call of duty" or "call to duty" and what is a cop's job but duty?? there's better ways to hook people other than just war....seriously kids when does this crap get boring??? 10 more games?? 50?? 100 more?? when does it end???

@Destructionzz: it's the age old story of renewal.....what's going on for MCU now it the end of a massive story arc across a decade of films but the next arc i think i know what it'll be, the X-Men assuming the FOX deal is approved, and that could end with Avengers v X-Men at the end of the next 10+ years....

I'm looking forward to Infinity war but at the same time I really wanna see MCU X-Men...

@videogameninja: I see it as a soulless cash in on an amazing franchise, now that Kojima is gone from Konami it's the age of soulless metal gear games.....much like how star wars had become a soulless cash grab for Disney...

I was a big fan of Metal Gear as a whole [Kojima's MG, not the spin off crap like acid and Rising] but this IMO puts Acid and Rising to shame.....
