The ATI Radeon 9000 64mb was my very first video card....those were the days. I would stay up till 3am in the morning playing BF:1942 or COD 1 online multiplayer over the weekend.

Yea, thats what I'm wondering also, I havn't seen much information on the 5870x2.

Oh Gosh, not another one these threads they usually turn into digital forum wars, but to answer your question I'm in love with AMD at the moment I had my eyes on the Core i7 950 for awhile on a upcoming build but decided to go with the AMD Phenom II 965 after really researching both. Asfar as gpu I don't favor either, I pretty much go with the one that has the best performance at the time when putting together a rig.

Yea, you're pretty much going to need a new pc, WOW system requirements have been slightly raised since WOTLK when they implemeted dynamic shawdows and other minor graphical improvements. If you plan on building/buy a new pc, a nice dual core proc, 2gb/4gb of ram and a gpu such as the Ati 4870 would be nice. Even though you have the miniumum system requirements it doesn't mean it's going to be enjoyable when playing (low Fps etc).

Just switched from AT&T 6mb to Comcast.. upload sucks, the highest it ever peaked was at 8mb but I rarely upload things so I honestly don't care about it.

Funny thing about WOW is that no matter what your pc specs, rather it be a high end quad core (Phenom 2 or Core i7)or Duo you won't always maintain 60+fps especially in heavily populated areas. I've seen a high end gaming rig equipped with a Core i7 965/GTX 295dip pretty low in crowded areas. In less populated areas expect to see huge fps numbers with that rig you've put together. It's Blizzard fault as they never really optimized the game to take advantage of the highend CPU/GPU'S.
