Everyone's entitled to their opinion. Ithink Assassin's Creed II should have been in this category over Mark of the Ninja. I found the Mark of the Ninja to be more of a action platformer and not an action adventure. I can agree to Dishonored winning great game if you give it a chance.
Do you think SONY really cares anymore? I don't think so. They hardly even advertise for the Vita and their other products. Hey the WII U comes out and what do we come out with Book of smells ..... oh my bad "spells". SONY hasn't had any right to be still in the gaming market this generation. Just look at the characters in Playstation All*Stars Battle Royale. Where is Spyro, Crash and anyone from Hot Shots but yet we get Big Daddy instead. Look at the commercials for it the two different ones I've seen look stupid.
No Doubt sued them cause they used the band in the game without their permission. They did give them permission to use their music and not the band itself. Activision's argument is ridiculous to say that it is "publicly known" that characters have been unlockable. But the argument would be not every artist in the Hero series are unlockable. So why would No Doubt realise that they would use them in the game. It's just Activision doing poor business for a quick buck as usual but this time they'll have to pay for it.
I never knew that Resistance was supposed to be an answer to Halo. One thing I have to say about SONY is that they do not market well at all. You look at MS they have Halo Boxers, PJs, Shirts, Board Games, Toys (Including LEGO), movies etc.. What did SONY do for Resistance 2? There was commercials for the game but I never seen any on Canadian Broadcasting where I am and I watch X-play and Reviews on the Run but don't remember ever seeing a commercial for the game and as for the third game they linked the sharpshooter move attachment with the game so it detracted from the game in my point of view. SONY needs to fix there game advertising/promotion divisions that's why very little is heard about SONYs games in this generation.
@awwitz What you see is what you get this game was probably finished a month ago and could ship tomorrow. This game will be the same graphical wise on all major consoles with the only exception of no HD for the WII.
Sorry, I've already commented on this article 3 times. But, If this happens I cannot wait to see the repercussions and the developers scrambling for sales. Let's just hope it's only a firmware download away from being able to play used games. But that could be too little to late. Like I said in another article about the next SONY console if they don't have backward compatible system then I'll pass on the PS whatever and wait till the machine goes way down in price and continue to enjoy my PS3.
Also, so much for renting games. I can see a lot of studios closing because of this based on a lot of people who are banking on trading their game back in for a new one will not have that option and will wait for the game to go down in price and you can scratch the greatest hits and platinum hit games cause there will not be enough sales. If the consumer waits for a game to go down in price which sometimes can take up to a year and so even until the price drop developers are sitting there waiting for the their money and I don't mean from us I mean from the welfare line.
