Well... what's the point in a "social" video game, when you can step outside your front door? Sounds very nerdly if you ask me... The idea of people sitting at home meeting other people by using a cartoon model of themself is ridiculous.
Go outside, meet with your mates and enjoy (I recommend going surfing if you can :D ).
However, I guess there are Wii owners out there that want to make Wii friends so that they can compare their gaming ablities to others. Looking at it like this, maybe your idea has a market.
But being brutally honest, my opinion is; there are online forums everywhere enabling people to get friend codes from other Wii gamers if they so wish - eliminating a big chunk of Mii MMOSG gamers. Then you have gamers (like myself) classed as "unsocial" as they don't want friends bothering them on their console, maybe prefering to simply get the friend codes from their real friends and leaving it as that. Then you have a some people that have not got their Wi's hooked to the internet.. etc... The amount of possible Mii MMOSG players is constantly shrinking.
My opinion is that this is a poor idea, and if carried out, would fail. However... if it was more.. intergrated within the console, as more of a feature than a video game. It could be worth it.
lol! I dunno dude, takes a hell of a lot of thinking to see if this could work or not. Rather you than me - good on you for thinking of something new though. Best of luck in your Mii MMOSG campaign!!
