[QUOTE="LucLongleyMVP"]The PC gaming industry is also MUCH more hardcore of a market. For instance, PC gamers are almost ALL fully aware of everything on their platform alot more than anyone else. Most people who take the time to build an expensive ass rig, will also take the time and effort into finding out the best games. Not saying that they are "nerds" or anything, but most of them spend alot of time on the internet, and are a very hardcore and vocal community. Console users hare different. A small majority of them belong to the hardcore gaming community, and would ever post on a forum like this. They are MUCH less aware of what their console has to offer. Most of them are parents who buy their console for their children, and most of them just buys the games that pop culture tells them to, I.E. Modern Warfare 2, Halo....... When Halo 3 came out, a buddy of mine just around the corner who is very loose with his money ran out and bought it at midnight launch. Never played a halo game in his life, and didnt even really game like that. months later, he tells me he barely even playes it, never even played the campaign more than like 30 mintues, and thought it was overhyped trash. Not saying that the quality isnt there, I fully acknowlege the game's quality, but he bought the game blindly just because friggin MTV and mountain dew told him he should.Crysis sold 2.5 million or more with zero advertising.
Its not nearly as black and white as you'd like to believe.

Hardcore gamers know about every game. Hence the hardcore part. Advertising is for the casuals and KZ2 is not marketed towards casuals.
