I recently purchased the Tropico reloaded 3 pack off steam, and i need some hot key help. I can't figure out how to bulldoze buildings, from what i found on goggle it says the Z key is the bulldozing hotkey, but it doesn't work. I really need to know how to tear stuff down. Thanks

In my view, this distinction between 'hardcore/casual' games is largely nonsensical.

I mean, try defining a hardcore game. How is a game hardcore? Is it the realistic, mature, or violent nature? Then a series such as Call of Duty must be hardcore. But in my experience, CoD is one of the most accessible games around, seeing as I know a lot of people who barely do any gaming, but have played through a few of CoD's installments. Same goes for Halo, basically. So is it accessibility? Well, maybe, but that would imply that hardcore gamers would only play games such as Metroid Prime, Majora's Mask and God of War, which would mean that a lot of people here wouldn't even classify as 'hardcore', because they play more accessible games such as CoD or GTA.

In the end, to me, a hardcore experience depends on the player, not the game. Take Super Mario Galaxy, for example. It is designed so that basically anyone with some basic gaming skills can beat it, but people who want it all (with all being 242 stars), will need to try harder. So is SMG a casual or a hardcore game? I couldn't tell. Same with Mario Kart Wii. Anyone can play this game, but few will actually be able to compete in the highest ranks of its online mode. Its friendly, cheery, and light-hearted presentation often fools people into thinking that a deep gaming experience isn't possible, while it's more than possible.

So, in conclusion, I think it'd help if people would stop worrying about games being hardcore or not, as it often depends on the player. Of course, a game such as Wii Sports is an obvious pick up and play title designed for an easy, near superficial gaming experience, and the Metroid series will not be enjoyed by people who've never played an action/adventure game before, but in the end I feel as if a lot of Nintendo's games are unfairly being put away as 'casual' for their cute presentation. On the Wii, there are a lot of games I put 50, or even 100 or more hours in, and believe me, that is barely possible if a game is 'casual'.

I love nintendo, i have ever since i was 5 years old and got my hands on an snes. I had a genisis, but it never captivated me the way the snes did. Nintendo is doing lots of things gear to the old school gamers while trying to allow casuals into the world, NSMB wii is by all means a HARD game, not brutal, but challenging, and they added super guide for the lesser skilled/familar players. And what do you all do? Whine and moan about it.... If u dont need super guide dont freaking use it. There is a new Metroid coming out from team ninja for god sake, and your still complaining that nintendo isnt doing anything. You also complain that they dont bring out enough games, and in the same breath complain about the ones you do get. If they brought out more than 1 of there main francises in a span of a few years, don't you think that would dilute the games quaility? Also there are good 3rd party games on the wii if you would give them a chance (madworld, no more heros, Dead space extraction, silent hill, CvT. I know some of those arent out yet) Stop being so ignorant and just have fun geez.

Also, can this casual vs hardcore BS play stop! im so sick of this argument i could die.

i love how people say they will never return to a company if they are dissapointed by something. Say they do suck next gen, but the gen after they are completely awesome and it's like the snes days again. You won't come back? Yes, yes you will. Same for any other company.
