I had suspicous views about Mormons before I moved to Utah. However, since living here I've come to realize that they're like other Christian religions across the nation and they're normal people like you and I, and you wouldn't think twice about them unless they said "I'm Mormon". I don't feel that they deserve the criticism they receive, because if that was the case, most Christian religions would be put to shame. That's just my opinion though. What do you think about the subject?

jt222_us

most religions deserve it. mormonism is just beyond stupid though.

mod me all you want, itll never stop being true

have fun with your sheepish "good mark"

would you want a gold star with that?

[QUOTE="Laymsp0t"]

well when MSNBC and Fox polled people who they thought won the debate, ron paul got 32,000 votes where everyone else got around 500.

jodamn

I just looked up the poll. This is what Ron Paul's _own_ press release says:

" Congressman Ron Paul finished first in the MSNBC poll following the GOP primary debate last night held at the Reagan Library in Simi Valley, California. Dr. Paul received 43 percent, beating the second-place finisher by five points, and crushing the rest of the field. "

... so although you're correct about him winning this poll, he didn't actually win 32,000 to 500. Factual accuracy counts. :D

the 32,000 one was in refrence to the fox one I believe. Because I voted on that one. I knew he wont the msnbc.

if im not mistaken, hes the front runner in the republican party.

why dont you believe him? his voting record shows his honesty.

You are quite mistaken. I have no idea how you came to such a conclusion. I don't believe him because he's a paleocon pretending to be a Libertarian.

he is libertarian. Libertarianism and what the Republican party originally stood for are really not that far apart. Hes running repub for the fact that he can get more spotlight.

No, he isn't. He has said that the seperation of church and state is a myth. He's making a bunch of crazy promises about spending and taxes in a last ditch attempt to gain more votes. He will lose, I guarantee it.

I really really really doubt he said that, and I really strongly believe you are more than likely taking something completely out of context.

Sorry to break it to you, but he's not even in the top 3.

 You think that means he's in the lead?

its a pretty good indicator of popularity.

A new family moved into the house next door and they are muslim.

I personally never met one of them and don't really like people who support a pagan god.

My question is how do I act around them? We are a pretty strict Christan neighborhood and I think everyone here is afraid of what to say to them.

Do anyone of you know any Muslims? What are they like?

Just Wondering.

Thanks!

threegodhalo

they worship the same god as you do...

if you had a pagan neighbor, that would be a GOOD thing
