So you placed everyone in the same boat as the people who just see it because everyone else did. Isn't that the point of movies? For large groups of people to see the movie and make their decision if they liked it? I suggest you stop going to the theatre then, because it is a form of entertainment and nothing more. I went to the midnight show of the Dark Night, on the Friday of its release.

I thought it was AMAZING it was one of the best movies I have ever seen. I'm sure there are few people that will not agree with that.

The movie just seems to get way too popular since it release, but that is not my problem. I have no problem with it popularity, just the people going to see the movie piss me off. It seems people are just going to see it because its what everyone is talking, and watching it. People who regularly would not even step foot near a batman movie are going to see it just because its on Entertainment Tonight. I feel like a tool just for going to see it opening night. Every second word out of peoples mouth is "Keith Ledger killed himself, by taking too many drugs because he thought he was the Joker". First of all he died by OD from sleeping pills, and the movie was probably done editing, meaning filming finished a few months before his death (January). I realize its a great movie, and people like, but if your not a Batman fan or you are actually interested in seeing a movie, don't go! No one is forcing you to go see the Dark Night. There are plenty of other GREAT movies that could never achieve the intense popularity of The Dark Night, its just popular because its a "fad". In a month everyone will have forgotten about this movie, and will probably ruin Pineapple Express for me. Society is a tool.

People don't understand what I am trying to get through, so I will run it down.

-I am annoyed because people that would not regularly see a Batman movie are going to see it, just because its popular. And those are the people that will not shut up and spread false rumours. I never said I disliked the movie, I said I liked it. This thread has nothing to do with the "quality of the movie" but the people going to see it, 3 weeks later and baing jerks.
