In general, the people who are less educated tend to be less polite, and those are the kinds of people who show up yelling or talking during a movie. I've encountered equal amounts of black and white people who chat or yell during a movie.

While it's true that there's a disproportionate amount of sexism in online gaming, there's also a higher ratio of girls who don't play well or purposely attract attention to themselves as compared to guys. Too many girls who play video games advertise their gender specifically to highlight their uniqueness, so if they become the target of sexually harassing comments, they need to find a good way to deal with it on their own. When you are in an environment of horny, immature idiots, you have to adapt. And, if in addition to that, you don't have a modicum of skill with the game, it's not entirely unexpected to get a lot of jeers. If anyone practices and plays with awe-inspiring, godlike skill, no matter what the gender, they'd be envied and admired instead.

Hostile comments, on the other hand, should not be directed at anyone. But again, if the admins do not do anything about it (or cannot), then it's up to the player to leave the match, mute, or whatever else they can do. I guess it's a reflection of the online gaming culture's maturity. The idiots deserve to be smacked senseless.

All girls (and boys) shouldn't let what idiots say via headsets and microphones affect them.

[QUOTE="Bread_Face_Man"]Halo invented the FPS genre.bleedingsouls
Doom and/or wolfinstien did that on the PC in the 1990's :) FYI

It definitely has not invented the entire FPG genre, but it effectively reinvented the FPS genre on a console. No other console FPS before it integrated all the nuances of an FPS as well as Halo did. I guess Goldeneye 007 and Perfect Dark were alright for their time, but Halo was to console FPSes like the invention of the analog stick was to the entire world of console gaming.

If you can get it to run, it's definitely worth it.

Xbox 360, mainly because of the huge amount of good games, and because the Wii isn't using itself to its fullest potential.

It's true that Manhattan has been done too often in videogames--luckily for me, Prototype's the only one I've picked up with that city as its central location, so it's not affecting me much at all. If it's just the city comparison, I'd say inFamous has a more interactive city, since the railsliding tends to be a focus, while in Prototype, I mainly just cause massive destruction in poor Manhattan. If we were talking gameplay, though, Prototype's got it.
