People can get addicted to anything: sex, alcohol, drugs, television, talking on the phone, exercise, or any other thing that exists out there. The clinic mentioned in the article is ridiculous because if addiction becomes a problem, people need to go to a regular old shrink. Anything to make a buck.... what is next? A clinic to help people addicted to ebay?
Sure, Mac is the best OS ever developed and if you use Windows... you are a Nazi. I have heard that enough time from all the fanboys out there. Hey, Mac is cool... if you can afford the high prices and find supported software for them without emulating windows.
If Sony would provide a little more support to developers for an affordable price, the issue would not be there. Developers also want to put their games on the PS3, XBOX 360, Wii, and PC so they purposely make the software cross-compatible between all of the platforms to make more capital for the studio. So, instead of taking the time to isolate the different aspects of the game by having the separate processors handle independent functions, they cluster them all together. It is kind of like running a game for windows on a Apple emulating Windows XP.
