Xbox LIVE has been a service since 2002, so Sony has had 8 years to improve/surpass Xbox LIVE yet year after year all they do is play follow the leader and wait for Microsoft to innovate the online space. I can't think of a single innovation Sony has made, in fact, there are still features the PSN lacks or have just recently added.

Clearly the OP is too young to remember that the Playstation went online long before the Xbox did.
And of course, the OP credits online "innovation" to the Xbox instead of the PC, where it really all began.
Sad, really, but it's about what I'd expect from an uninformed fanboy.
PC is not a console. PS1 went online? Really? First Online console i can recall is the Famicom in Japan. Genesis/Mega Drive also used a phone connection to play online, as did the Sega Saturn. Dreamcast was the first console to offer online as a console standard.[QUOTE="KittenWishes"][QUOTE="_Cadbury_"] I think you're in denial. Google search Alan Wake sales - "Alan Wake sales slightly disappointing", "Alan Wake's sales not doing so well", "Alan Wake sales dissappointing", "Alan Wake sales not impressive" I don't believe MS has expressed there interest in a seuel yet either. Either way, Alan Wake flopped._Cadbury_Why then , during E3, was Oskari Hakkinen saying that they are pleased the way Alan Wake has performed? I love your cow logic: "THEY ARE HAPPY SO THEY MUST BE DISAPPOINTED COZ I SAY SO!!!!!!!!!! :( " Microsoft haven't said anything about a sequel. Hakkinen was asked if one was in the pipeline, DO YOU SERIOUSLY THINK THEY ARE GOING TO ANNOUNCE THE SEQUEL 1 MONTH AFTER THE GAME HAS LAUNCHED? Seriously... "Remedy says theyre pleased so there MUST be a sequel!!!" loving your logic there too. The game was in development for a huge amount of time, costing a ton of money for such a small studio. http://gamer.blorge.com/2010/05/08/remedy-betting-everything-on-alan-wakes-success/ - and theyve obviously got a lot to lose. Would you want to admit your game failed so soon if you had invested so much time and money into it? I don't think so. Maybe there will be a sequel, but I think its most unlikely until we get a real answer. Who do you think was bankrolling Alan Wake, here's a hint: A large multinational software company with too much money.
