Watched Jack and Jill and That's My Son with a bud ironically, this might be another candidate. Trying to get a third companion, but we can't even make the dude watch White Chicks.
What is even the point anymore? When I type this, I feel like my irony has swallowed me, and I am in the belly of an ironic whale. Somebody, save me, please.
Edit; Holy shit this became a long post - feel free to ignore.
I mean, I don't disagree about heavy regulation. I just wanted to point out that a total weapons ban is not really desirable, as hunting is a pretty important ecological thing.
I'm from Sweden, and we have most if not all of those regulations you mentioned. You MUST have a hunting license to have the right to purchase and own a hunting weapon, and above that there is literally zero (legitimate) availability of anything that an american would own for sport. Recreational gun ownership isn't a thing here, unless they are antiques (at latest black powder small arms, if I recall correctly).
And yes, mass shootings and school shootings are not a thing here. On the other hand, gang violence is. And these guys are relatively well-armed, AK's and grenades included. That's some pretty heavy stuff in an un-armed nation. Norway is the same as us (minus the gang violence as far as I know), but that didn't stop the Utöya massacre.
Point being; people with ill intent who want to use guns will find guns. A ban or heavy regulation will perhaps save people from tragic accidents, but the large scale shootings might still happen anyway even if they aren't as "efficient". What I see is a cultural problem more so than a problem with the weapons themselves. How come so many miserable people exist? Why do they decide to take out their frustration on everyone else, instead of themselves? Or avoid it all in the first place, and seek help? Why aren't they able to seek help, if that is what they wanted?
I'm just not so sure that a ban is the miracle cure that you're hoping for, if your country breaks people so thoroughly.
