I mean, like, wouldn't that be like looking down on police officers because of a murderer? I don't think I'm doing that, am I? How am I coming off, here? As I am at a loss for places to kick it at, I'd like to avoid becoming a fall guy or a pariah just yet.
I don't understand why people think it's so great and clever to use the phrase "losing my faith in humanity".....as it is used tirelessly over and over by the drones of teenagers on this forum - it must have some sort of appeal.
i guess it just makes them feel a sense of superiority since it makes the human race seem lower than you Hrrrnnnhh? I don't think that's what people mean. It's definitely not what I mean. Why would I think I was better than the human race? Is there some alternative way to word what I'm trying to say?

Oh, yeah, I didn't mean it like that, I know the big picture of humanity is all right, I'm just surprised at what large but isolated groups are capable of. Like, murder is common, but as a whole, society knows murder is bad. So that's not a big deal. But with OTHER things, it's like society all of a sudden decided they were okay, and I missed the memo.
But things like that are bad, right? I mean, you expect society to know right from wrong, right?
Your asking questions for the sake of it... you are well aware that things like that are wrong... and I expect nothing from anyone except myself... thats what you need to understand... otherwise, I can't say anymore...
I believe they're bad, but what if there's someone who believes they should be able to abuse their child? Now, what if that was everyone? What if the whole world forgot that child abuse was bad?
I mean, it stems from our natural reaction when we hear about how someone did something terrible. Normally we just shrug it off because it's not like the world thinks these actions should be allowed or anything, it's an incident that most people feel is bad, then move on.
It's faith in humanity shaking. What do? Besides take refuge in OT. OT seems pretty okay.
What have people done around you that's shaking your faith in humanity (my oh so favorite phrase). I dunno, I often find myself surrounded by pedophiles and adulterers and other less than reputable characters who do things that I thought were commonly not supposed to be done.
