I wanted to play this but I got shafted. I claimed one free game off of psn, but the second option is gone...

well it's been near 100 degrees outside lately. I hang out in the basement during hot days instead of blasting the AC in the house. I've been using AC5 all this time. My GTX 570 also idles around 51-55 during the summer.

Maybe the cooler needs to be remounted and new thermal paste applied?

I was hoping to avoid that. It's such a PITA. :( which brings up the question. How often do people remount their coolers?

I have a thermaltake eureka. It's a full tower. There's on exhaust fan in the back, and I believe there are two intakes in the front. The side panel has a decent sized vent. I doubt getting a different cooler is going to do anything.

I have an aftermarket cooler Xigmatek Darknight. The thing you have to understand is I'm also running this video encoding stuff for like 10-12 hours straight and it's max load. My cpu was overclocked before but I put it back to default. I know the cooler is working because if I touch it, it's pretty hot.

My phenom ii x4 during seasons other than summer tends to be around 35-40c idle and about a max of 50-52 under load. This is the first time I bothered to monitor my cpu temps since I've been doing lots of video encoding lately. The temperature in my house is probably about 80 F. My temps are reading 54 idle and 68 under full load. I wonder if everyone else's cpu is that sensitive to ambient temperatures. My case is not cramped and I actually have the side panel off right now. I've dusted it off completely and these are the temperature readings.

Is your Ps3 new? Also, if it's blinking, it sounds like you have malfunction.

Demon's Souls is definitely up there. I'd have trouble picking a best game this gen though. There just is no clear winner.

The game sure was awesome, but I don't think it deserves anything higher than a 9. My initial impression was that this would be a 9.5 game, but once I got towards the end, the game felt like it was rushed.

To me, it seems like they try too hard to "create" facial expressions...
