The drive is formatted, I've checked the cables again, it still doesn't work.

Yes it has a PCI-E 16 slot. When he starts the computer the power does come on but it won't get into windows.

We've made sure the card is firmly sealed in, no it doesn't have a power connector.

My hard drive stopped working so I bought a samsung F3 1tb drive as a replacement. The problem now is that my computer isn't recognising the new drive, my motherboard is sata 1 and the new drive is sata 2. I thought it would still be able to operate at sata 1 speeds.

I've downloaded the latest drivers, still no difference. Do you need 2 crossfire cables?

It is a x4 slot but that should only mean a 30% decrease in performance from the 2nd card.

[QUOTE="Joe77"]

I just installed another 4850, Iconnected the crossfire and power cables, installed the latest drivers and enabled crossfire in the CCC. The problem is I only get a slight increase in 3d mark 06. Can anyone help?

UltimateGamer95

do you notice a performance increase in games?

No I don't.
