You're showing JPEG's for the Saturn version and PNG's for PS1...You're "proof" is very inreliable. And yes, the image quality of a JPEG and a PNG are very different. Showings pics to compare graphics like that always seems very unreliable in any discussion.

Always avoiding the facts!

At a native JPG resolution PSX games look worse! Same goes for JPGS for PSX. I am helping you SATURN FANS out by pointing out THE TRUTH!

Image Quality your azz, the last pics where not like that and look! The samething!

What's next? Bitmap images!?

It's ok to be sad.

[QUOTE="Darkman2007"] so you admit to not using the same game, along with the fact that it is not the same, as far as I remember, a playable level of the original Rayman2 was included in the PS1 version of Rayman proper, meaning you got this from the PS1 , since as far as I remember, no Saturn footage was ever released, along with the fact that what you posted is total nonsense. Ive got both versions , and its actually the Saturn one that is slightly sharper (less blur around the sprites), the PS1 version has some extra effects here and there though.Darkman2007

LIES!

Fine, I will be more fair to you. With Band land!

Look below for the actual evidence I am presenting before you:

BEHOLD! The same problem!

Also, I forgot to mention that background are grany as well do to the limitations of the Saturns 2D and its FMV drive!

BEHOLD! As you can see, the same results, of the same game in the sameplace!

That's 3 strieks and youuuurrrrrrrrrrrr ooooouuuutttttt!

I mean come on! The proof is there.

I will admit it NATURALLY has more color, but with the PSX FMV drive they can go beyond that at only 17% of FMV drive power.

Saturns FMV drive can only go 10% with overclocking at 13%

I still invite you to post otherwise, but it's obvious you cant.

nice going once again taking two different situations, 2 different picture sizes (which I have a feeling you just found on the internet), I see comparisons are not a strong point for you.

give me a bit of time, I will post a somewhat fairer comparison.

What situations? Same damn level! Are you admitting when Rayman doesn't crawl in the Saturn version the game can't handle i!?

Denial I see, so go and get your Saturn EMULATOR so you can't pump up the Saturns 2D.

Pic Sizes does not matter, are you blind?

It's the same place, and we all know the Saturns resolution is not able to display 2D games well at full res, I am helping YOU OUT.

It's ok to be sad.

[QUOTE="Jakandsig_"][QUOTE="Dudersaper"]I don't know. I really don't fully understand, neither do I care about any technical issues with games like sound or image quality, so eh. As long as the game is fun I'll even play it on a microwave for all I care.Emerald_Warrior

What good games? Name exclusvie games that are actuslly good. Wait! IMPOSSIBLE!

  • Castlevania: NES Classics
  • Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow
  • Castlevania: Circle of the Moon
  • Contra Advance: The Alien Wars
  • Donkey Kong: NES Classics
  • Donkey Kong Country 1-3
  • Doom 1 & 2
  • Dr. Mario: NES Classics
  • Final Fight One
  • Game & Watch Gallery Series
  • The Legend of Zelda: NES Classics
  • The Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap
  • The Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past: Four Swords Edition
  • Mario Kart: Super Circuit
  • Mega Man Zero 1-3
  • Metal Slug Advance
  • Metroid: NES Classics
  • Metroid: Fusion
  • Metroid: Zero Mission
  • Pinball of the Dead
  • Sonic Advance 1-3
  • Spider-Man: Mysterio's Menace
  • Super Mario Advance 1-4
  • Super Mario Bros.: NES Classics
  • Tony Hawk Series
  • Wario Land 4
  • Wolfenstein 3D
  • Zelda II: The Adventure of Link: NES Classics

Let's also not forget that this model of Gameboy put out the best graphics and sound of any Gameboy (or the Neo-Geo Pocket, since you brought it up), and the SP model in particular easily had the best looking screen (also better than the Neo-Geo Pocket's screen).

LOLOLOLO!

You can't even name exclusive games!

Also the thread turned to brighter screens, because that's all the GBA has that's actually good, well the SP anyway.

You're also bringing in NES classics? Wow that's deperate.

So you have proven no exclusive games on the Game Boy Annihilator.

Because it Annihilates power for crappy games that are not even being played the same way they were made too.

The system has no good games, and I have yet to see a list with good exclusive games!

I mean at least 10 is all I ask, but you guys can't do it.

nice going putting a picture of the unreleased original Rayman 2 in place for the Saturn picture.

first bashing the GBA and now this, theres no stopping you :P

Darkman2007

Excuse me? That's the same engine and that was the prototype of Rayman 2 made for SATURN. Even better you can play the same version on PS1 version of Rayman 2 with lum collecting. Yes it s same version, infact, Saturn version was original prototype. Why don't you show me multiplat 2D superiority in the Saturns favor? You can't, because this is proof right here. Don't even try an emulator, all Saturn 2D games have that same problem. It's ok, but I will allow you to try.

I was playing the Saturn recently. You know that system no body brought?

So I noticed something and discovered something that is only about something that is true.

So people say, and I mean Darkman long ago, said that the Saturn has better 2D than the playstation.

But there's something that will always make it so the Saturn is worse.

What is it? Let's take a look.

This game above is Rayman.

Rayman is a game also on PSX which is why this is a good comparison.

Now notice that the colors or more vivid thanPs1, version which I will show later.

But to do this, and to add more depth they must cut the animation and blur the screen. Causing a hard to look at image.

But notice that the PSX does not have this problem.

Notice this picture below:

Here is the PSX version of Rayman. Notice that the color depth isn't as much.

But notice that it's clear with its visuals and it's clear with it's animation. Also the superior FMV of the PSX.

THat superior FMV allows the background to add mor color depth than the Saturn can naturally.

Because Saturn has poor FMV drive, it can't do this.

It goes for all 2D games.

So yes, Saturn was not the @D machine so many people thought.

Neither is it the 3D machine as it lacks the ability to render at 45% per minute.

So as you can see the fact is that the Saturn has great 2D, better than the N64.

But yet, as you can see with proof the Saturn lacks a certain power to which makes 2D games look playble.

It's like the machine is sacraficing power just to add like 2 more colors.

Sega could do better than that what were they thinking?

Well by a landslide I win the thread. Yep most agree with me. Yep. Now that I won the thread, Banjo will now make another N64 vs. Ps1 thread.

Let's take a look at Gen and SNES, but here's the thing you may not have noticed.

Ready?

Are you sure?

Big Mac?

What? I meant are you really sure?

Notice this, the SNES has birght colorful and such graphics. But that's the thing. BRIGHT COLORFUL GRAPHICS. All the SNES is in reality are games with bright colors and plain color objects and such while there is no detail at all. Hardly what I would call advanced.

But look at Gen games. They are literally, and yes I said literally realistic. I mean most of the best looking SNES game are like plain bright colors with no detail. In Gen, everything is darker but the games are more realistic. Look at them! Games like SMW. Ha, look at that lack of detail, all the colors are flat, no 2D textures. etc.

But look at Gen, games like Gunstar Heroes, Sonic, all it's games arejust more realisticly colored with detail, walls actually look like walls, everyone has realistic animations, etc. etc.

Now I know some might say you prefer SNES and sayI am wrong, but how? it's clear which one is the system with a bunch of bright flashing colors and which one is darker and more serious. But ah, games need to evolve, and I believe the realistic art style of the genesis wins!

So there you go feel free to applaud my speech.
