(not one or two that carry the whole console's being). and yes ps3 IS capable of better graphics. BUT, IF AND ONLY IF. the devs use that power. OH and it seems like they have been too =). PLUS the extra $150 spent at LAUNCH TIME (ps3 is now 300 with a couple games, very good games i might add. Uncharted, Infamous, & Killzone 2) will DEF be worth it in the long run, cuz ps3 WILL last for a decade. its funny how i seen one comment say that the ps3 wont last long yet the 360 would. its the exact opposite way around. microsoft WILL have to come out with another system before the ten year mark. simply because of the medium used ie. to Jiggy Wilson, the ps3 controller is great because its simple but effective design, im not sure what u do with ur controllers but if ur friend had to replace 3 and ive had to replace none, theres sumthing wrong there.. to euphoria47, i have to agree, its funny how gamespot never gives u any background information, its like selective information, not presenting the full truth. but yeah, from what ive heard is that most multiplatform games are developed and the source code is ported, but it takes longer for dev teams to polish up the graphics on the ps3, dont know why prob. cuz its more advanced :S. but yeah like others have said take an exclusive from each console and compare the two, ps3 exclusives are breathtaking, and anyone who's played Uncharted 2, Resistance 2, Demons Souls, Killzone 2, saw GOD OF WAR III, etc. will def agree and know that i am not exagerrating.

why does Gamespot not mention that the PS3 looks much better in all aspects of these screenshots of Madden in the brief description?? Because Gamespot is biased and leans towards the Xbox side; from the football players to the red logo in the centre of the field, to the close-ups of the refs, as well as the fans in the 4th screenshot, all look better on the PS3. The PS3 has better lighting effects, yet the Xbox 360 does have better detail at distances of whichever screenshot for these games. For Soul Caliber 4, PS3 definitely looks better, and yes, aside from the detail of the flowers on the Xbox 360. However, when we play fighting games we're not paying attention to the flowers or things in the background; we're focused in on the characters. Which somewhat confused me, because I thought the characters on 360 would look better, but actually the characters on PS3 look considerably better. Although Madden '09 is clearly better on PS3, it sucks because I hate sports games. They're so DAMN BORING.
