WoW WAS RELEASED at release. They had full features for WoW at release. It was a full game, not a beta anymore. And then they added more expansion pack later for a good price.
I don't wanna be rough here, but if you compare Star Citizen to WoW at release, then Star Citizen is just a piece of crap.
Also, 10 years, 20 years wouldn't be much for "a game of this scale" ? It doesn't matter. What matters is RSI actually promised to release this game years ago, and then delayed it time and time again. If you can't deliver your promises, then you're actually a scam.
@Kunakai: He is actually right. I don't remember the exact year that RSI first promised to release this game, but I'm sure it was years ago. That, along with so much changes and addition to their original plan shows that they had very little idea about their own game.
It is not a delay. It also should not be called a scam, yes. Because I don't think the Devs actually wanted to scam people. But what they're doing is pretty close to scamming.
@groowagon: Problem is, if it takes too long to be finished, then by the time it comes out, Star Citizen will be just another mediocre game. All the tech and graphic sounded awesome 2-3 years ago. As of now, they look fucking normal to me. And in the next 2-3 years, they'll become outdated.
@helldragonzer: Lol so releasing a game in a poor state then promise "we'll patch and add more stuff later, but we will still ask you for full price at relase" is okay now ? How low the gamers nowadays have sunk to...
