My advice?
Stay friends with her. When you said you're her only friend, that's the problem. She might just want to be friends since she has no others, and it might prose some problems if you end up dating. Don't make her feel like you're only with her because you "just want more than friendship."
But if you're getting clear signals she wants to be with you, take the shot then. Otherwise just be there for her.
