Yes, but considering consoles are just a means to and end, and the end is games, currently all PS3 is sitting on is potential. You can hardly claim the POTENTIAL to be the best is the same as being the best gaming console. It has to DELIVER the games. So you can't really say with any certainty until it's library fills out.

And it's filling out nicely right now. So with the technology with the games rolling in makes it the best console. Now there's not as many people who want to pay $600 +$50 for each controller and $60 for each game and can utilize it all with paying another $40+/mo for high speed internet. And that's why the Wii at $250 and can play it without getting high speed internet and has cheaper games etc. is outselling the PS3. The cheaper a product is will always get more buyers, becaus more income stretched families can afford it.

Yes yes and Lair is proof of these "good" games rolling in. The PS3 isn't even close to being the best console. Its games flop, it's expensive and it's being outsold buy both consoles. For a system with a supposed 120million fan base, its sales sure fail.

I agree but I dont know why people are saying "fanbase". I think 75% of people who bought the PS2 were just casuals who liked GTA or teh brand, so not really fans. And dont forget the disc read problems.

You'd be a fool to only get one console. For me, it's Wii for 1st party, and 360 for Halo and multiplats. I also might eventually get a PS3 if LBP turns out to be good.

Not everyone plays games 24/7. I could get the PS3 and 360 but I would never have the time to play all the games. The Wii si already enough.

Wiimote + Nunchuk is $60. Games are $50 each. You need high speed to play the Wii online.

Gamecube was cheaper and lost. Dreamcast was cheaper and failed
