I just tried swaping the Graphics card over to the Onboard Graphics Card and it doesn't do this. It runs slow becuase the onboard graphics suck. So I am sure it is a Graphics Card issue.

Hello everyone,

I recently bought a new PC and I believe I am having problems with the Graphics Card.

It is an Nvidia 8800gt 512mb and whenever I play any game(Have tried multiple games ranging from less graphical to more) all of them have a framerate issue. They will run perfectly fine for 30-40secs averaging about 60fps then it will completly drop the 0-1fps for 1-2 seconds. This issue gets very very annoying and it is almost impossible to play games like this. The Graphics Card is running pretty hot.

I also have 4gb of pc6400 ddr2 800, AMD x2 6400AM2 CPU, and an ASUS M3A 780G EMH Mobo.

I have contacted the retailer and more than likely will be replacing the Graphics card. But, I need to know if it is what is really causing the problems.

Would be great if someone could help me.

Thank you,

Hieshiro
