Like many of you, my first game was Super Wrestlemania for the Genesis.....and it sucked. Big time.

Undeterred, I bought Royal Rumble for the Genesis as well, and it still remains one of my favorite games of all time. If my Genesis still worked, I would be playing that game to this day.

After that was WWE Wrestlemania : The Arcade Game. (I rented RAW, and bought it for Game Gear. I still liked RR better though.) This was fun, but it got old after a while.

Soon after that though, I kind of stopped playing wrestling video games....probably due to WCW Nitro for the PC (which sucked even harder than Super Wrestlemania, if you could fathom that.). I started playing Wrestling games again with Shut Your Mouth! and Smackdown vs. Raw.

TNA X-Division champ Samoa Joe & Shannon Moore defeated Christopher Daniels & AJ Styles. After the match Styles puts the X-Division belt on the cables and sets it in the center of the cables, challenging Joe to climb up and get it. Joe was angry and finally walked out. Styles retrieved the belt himself. The cables were set up the entire taping.

It looks like AJ made Samoa Joe mad, that's one thing you should never do is make Samoa Joe mad.

I agree completely. Samoa Joe mad = Get the hell out of the way, unless you want a friggin' Muscle Buster.

With all due respect, now you're just being ignorant. Yes, the WWE has wrestlers with talent. To prove my point, I'll break out some of the guys that even the most vicious smarks would recognize as being good and entertaining wrestlers : Chris Benoit, Kurt Angle, Shawn Michaels, Rob Van Dam, Booker T, Shelton, and most of the Crusierweight Division (Including former TNA stars Kid Kash and Paul London).

There are also Triple H (who was already a Main-eventer, World Champion, European Champion, and multi-time IC Champion before he was ever involved with Stephanie McMahon. However, this is convenienty forgotten when a point is made about Trips.), The Undertaker (Multi-time World Champion, probably the best big man wrestler to ever step foot in the ring. Able to change his style of wrestling to fit his opponent if need be, and is pretty damn good at all of them), William Regal (A great technical wrestler. Also, see what your boy Bryan Danielson has to say about training with him.), Finlay (A good technical wrestler and brawler. Always entertaining.), and Edge (A wrestler who, despite some problems with a few guys outside of the ring, has been consistantly good in the ring. And most people here were very happy when he won the belt off of Cena. Admit it.), among others.

Also, there are the up and coming talent, such as Ken Kennedy, Lashley (I predict that his feud with Finlay will be big for his development), Johnny Jeter and Ken Doane. I'm not even going to talk about the OVW guys like Matt Cappotelli, and some guy named CM Punk. (I think you guys know about him......)

So....yeah. I think the WWE has some talent there.

Perhaps, but Undertaker's too good to have him not in any championship hunts for years.  As far as I remember, he's been WWE champion once over the past decade.  Especially since he's getting close to that time.....
Hydro_Dynamo

Over the past 10 years, he has been champion twice. (At WM13 in 1997, and Judgement Day 02) Yes, he has been pushed aside in the championship picture in order to have guys like Brock Lesnar, Kurt Angle, The Rock, and John Cena have their moments in the sun as champion.

Does he deserve to be in the title hunt? Yes. Many people here would disagree with that, but he does deserve to stay in the title race. This is because he is, after more than a decade in the WWE, still one of the top performers in the business, and is still able to get one of the biggest crowd reactions night in and night out. That, and he is the most respected guy in the locker room, hands down. (Seriously, how many wrestlers have come out and said something bad about the guy? Not too many, if at all.)

And with his retirement looming, I believe that he deserves one final run as champion. (Although, some people may regard that as holding down other talent.)

The DC crowd was ALL OVER Cena, and it really seems like his "white rapper" gimmick just wasn't sitting well with the predominantly black (and hispanic) audience, as you could almost hear the crowd's boos getting louder each time Cena said the word "Homey." Trips was hella over just by virtue of the fact that he was NOT John Cena. Cena just got OWNED out there on the mic, and he looked seriously pissed off at the fact that he'd been absolutely helpless to do a damned thing about it when he left the ring after the cameras cut to commercial.Hydro_Dynamo

Excellent.  Cena's voice was really weak when he first started talking...no doubt those boos affect him.

As far as Undertaker and Mark Henry.....how lame.  I'd rather main event WM and lose than have an undefeated streak fighting mediocre wrestlers.   In terms of crowd reaction, the Undertaker gets the most, yet he gets stuck midcard every WM.  I don't know if Undertaker prefers to keep his winning streak at that expense or if it's just the writers doing this.

It's the writers and Vince putting Taker at midcard. Granted, this match will be upper-mid card, strictly because it is the Undertaker at Wrestlemania.

And the WWE does think Mark Henry can wrestle, based solely on who he was trained by : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stu_Hart#Wrestlers_trained_by_Stu_Hart

(Yes, Stu AND Bret Hart)

Ha. Strictly talking about newcomers, I guess I figured that they would push Lashley into the SD main event before any of their newer talent, including Giant Gonzales II here......

Guess not.

Good things happen when you put Undertaker and Kurt Angle in the ring together. The only downside is that Mark Henry went and messed it all up, setting up UT Wrestlemania win number 14.

SD looks like a MUCH better show than the crapfest that was RAW this week. Angle/Taker and Finlay/Lashley catch my eye, especially. (Because Finlay = Greatness, IMO)

The Captain Jack Burchill segment looks pretty good too.

[QUOTE="hbk91"]The Wrestling-Observer Newsletter reports that Kurt Angle was not pleased with WWE's decision to make his WM22 title defense a three-way match.

DirtyDarren

Hooray!!  Angle will retain his title tomorrow then... at least that's the way it looks.

Honestly, if the WWE was going to put the belt on The Undertaker, they would have done it at No Way Out. I believe this main event at SD will set up who Taker is going to wrestle at WM.....

.....and for the love of everything sacred, I hope it isn't Mark Henry.

I hope the WWE has big plans for Carlito at WM... because otherwise why Flair over Carlito? trick_man01

Yeah, I wish I knew.....because it was awfully stupid to have Carlito bring up the MITB, and then have him lose his chance to get into the match.....

But as a whole.....Raw sucked. The only redeeming qualities, I thought, were Foley/Edge and HHH. Orton's appearence made the Chavo/Shelton match kinda interesting, but honestly, I guessed that would happen anyway. (Honest to God, the moment I saw Chavo walk down the aisle, I said "Orton's gonna interfere", and went back to my Shonen Jump.)

The whole Vince/HBK thing is getting to be pretty stale too.

I doubt Batista will be involved in the Main Event. He still looked a little stiff last night.
