Head north as they cant survive in extreme cold and will freeze durring the winter so you can safely kill the ones around you. In the summer you are basically screwed just make sure you have plenty of ammo and always have someone on guard. Create a settlement with only 1 way in so it can be easilly defended, and grow your own food. You should be able to hold out for quite some time.

They already know where you are. They just have to make their way there which takes awhile.

The zombies can fall on top of each other, therefore creating a sort of zombie stair case.

Is the immanent threat of a zombie apocalypse the direct result of idiots playing too many video games, or is there more to the story?

I'm not quite sure where you got that idea from anyway, but lets say it's some virus or something and you're the only one imune to it.

I like hip hop and stuff, there's nothing better to listen to at clubs. As for bands like the Jonas Brothers, they originated as a preteen girls band, and still are and in fact some of their music isn't terrible. It can be a lot like John Mayer or Jack Johnson, that good relaxing slack key type of music.

For me, I'd say that I'd probably head to my closest gun store, which is about 45 minutes away, but about 20 now since there aren't any cops to pull me over :P. I'd stock up on guns I know how to use, and then head a grocery store and get a bunch of canned good ( and a good can opener). From there I'd go to my local yacht club and jack one of the fifty footers. The river it's on leads to the ocean so I'd ride out there and watch the zombies try and swim to me. If any got too close I'd start to use my guns.

Let me emphasise that you cannot hide from them, they can sense you in a crowd and they can always find you.
