Hey I'm in High School and I'm really torn whether or not to get the new Pokemon Black & White or not. No one really likes Pokemon around my age that I hang out with so I don't tell them I play it. They would Probably make fun of me. I got SS and thought it was great I'm on my 4th play-through (2nd with Cyndaquil) and I'm debating whether or not to stop playing the Pokemon series forever. I just don't know if it's worth it or not. I'm really torn on this decision so if anyone has any advice please input it.Armagadem
I was in a similar situation not too long ago. I ultimately decided that you will respect yourself more - and so will others - if you're honest with yourself. If your friends are truly friends, they won't do anything more than give you a hard time, if even that. And if other people mock your hobbies, just ignore them. Either they don't have enough to do that they have to substitute a life for caring about what you do, or they're trying to build themselves up by breaking you down. Regardless, people like that are pathetic and aren't worth the time of day. You're inevitably going to run into immature or ignorant people, and you can't let them get under your skin.
Do what makes you happy; be honest with yourself.
(BTW, sorry if that sounded like an after school lecture :P)
I guess I hate that it isn't coming out with more color options initially. But I'm not waiting; I want it as soon as possible, and the color options aren't nearly as bad as the XL's were.
If you think you'll be playing the future Pokemon titles and still enjoy the franchise, then HeartGold or SoulSilver would be a good purchase. If not, and you like or love JPRGs, then DQ IX is a must. Personally, it's hard to compare these two titles for me. I love them both, but Pokemon doesn't seem to be that viable of a purchase unless you plan on playing the future games.
