As a PS3 owner, I never thought the XBone's 'always' on all-seeing eye wasn't the big deal that some people made it out to be. From a legal standpoint, I think the PS3 issue is a bigger deal, but not something that's a deal breaker.
Terms of Use enforcement is always tricky business. The idea (I presume) is so when my 11 yr-o nephew KILLS some guy in Tekken and the other player starts yelling out profanity about how he's using too many grabs- the Sony can ban or block that user since they'd presumably be violating the TOS.
The big concern is how this data gets misused, not so much how the company tells you it's going to use it.
As an older gamer I think it's simple immaturity. Most of the "jerkiest" online gamers, the most butthurt, the whiniest are usually under 20-- it gets confirmed when I get the chance to hear them on voice chat.
They'll grow up. We all do. Of course only to be replaced with a new crop of 14 yr olds.
@whalesex @Ghostdog201 Good question. Maybe the latter? I admit going into some of the gaming stores and being fascinated with the little figures that come with the desktop games. I was always a bit drawn to Warhammer (for instance) but never learned it. Or had friends that were interested. Or had friends.
I played D&D back before most of you were a twinkle in the milk man's eye. But no longer. Haven't touched a 'table top' game in, well, since most of you were a twinkle in the milkman's eye...
What table top games would you kids recommend these days? Some of those in the video looked like they were board games with pieces and action figures!
@Cotsy_Gero I agree with this. Going to have to get some kind of reasonably affordable multi-display tech-- either that or you're still dragging your rig/console around to the house to net play it. Which, I guess is possible now-ish.
