[QUOTE="Gedaning"]Was wandering if I can run Mass effect 2 on the highest settings with these specs?: i7 740QM Quad Core Processor, 1.73GHz 4GB Dual Channel Memory (2x 2GB DDR3) 1GB GDDR5 ATI Radeon Mobility HD 5850 500GB SATAII 7,200RPMionusX

probably on highest partial aa and af.. you have crossfire mode? if so sure..

I don't actually have the laptop yet, it's being build but it did not mention anything about crossfire. So are you saying it that I should be able to run Mass effect 2 on a mixture of the highest and second highest settings?

I was looking at the different processors for the alienware M15x and I noticed that it says that there i7 processors go from 2.8 to 3.2 clock speed but the 3 I7 processors listed are the 740qm at 1.73ghz, 840 at 1.86ghz and the 940 at 2.13ghz so I'm confused how there saying they go for 2.8 to 3.2ghz. Now I already bought a computer with the 740qm but I am confused about the discrepancy in the numbers, I can only assume the the 1.73, 1.86, and 2.13ghz is not referring to the clock speed but knowing very little about computer hardware I'm not sure. Sorry for the simple question and thanks in advance.

I've just ordered an Alienware M15x (unfortunately according to dell it it going to take 3 weeks for me to get it:( because of the casing color I chose) and I was wondering if I should be able to run Starcraft 2 smoothy on ultra settings. The specs include: i7 740QM Quad Core Processor, 1.73GHz (2.93GHz Turbo Mode, 6M Cache) 4GB Dual Channel Memory 15.6-inch WideHD+ 1600x900 1GB GDDR5 ATI Radeon Mobility HD 5850 500GB SATAII 7,200RPM I don't know what kind of FPS is needed to smoothy play RTS games, I've heard that its less then what you need for FPS's but I would assume you still want at least 20-30FPS. The only reason I ask is because one site was saying I should only get 20fps on ultra with the radeon 5850 but others were saying it should be able to run it fine, so I'm not sure. Thanks in advance.
