The firmware is up to date, yes.

The weird thing is, I go back to using the red/white leads to output audio and the sound quality is right up at 22khz.

HD sound via HDMI? Hmm....

When I play a PS1, PS2 or PS3 game or a Blu-ray on the PS3, the top-end of the audio output is never aboe 17khz or so, even on lossless HD material (which should, in theory, be above 22khz).

Does anyone know why this might be? Its seems Im not getting the full benefit of my music, movies or games due to this phenomena.
