@Scarshi: Sony announced earlier this year that they bought the rights and are planning on making a Robotech movie: http://variety.com/2015/film/news/robotech-movie-sony-tv-series-anime-1201460191/
Hopefully they spend more time on the script than they have been with the Spiderman movies...
It's really too bad that when companies scrap interesting ideas like this that they just basically throw them in the proverbial trash. It would be cool if they released them onto the internet under some kind of open-source license and basically said: have at it. Just think of how many novel concepts will never see reality...
@Guts5 @dsweetz I totally agree! That's why when I invite people over to see a movie I bought on Blu-Ray, I check their receipts to see that they purchased it as well - no THIEVES in my house! When I play a game - I make sure nobody watches the screen over my shoulder - freeloaders aren't ripping off that experience either! And I totally get the 1000 burger reference as well - as a professional Wizard, I totally have the ability to conjure 1000 exact copies of the one I purchased - BUT I DON'T. I exercise restraint, because creating magical burgers is the same as copying data, err... the experience - and I don't support that. I dig you, man! Pass the reefer!
@Sevenstorms If everyone goes out and buys an Xbox One, the restrictions are here to stay - on Xbox One and on the NEXT console generation as well. The future is formed with our wallets. If you actually want to see Microsoft change the Xbox One to make it consumer friendly (which can probably be done purely with software updates) then don't buy it for a while. Wait. A few months of terrible sales numbers and Microsoft will suddenly re-evaluate their positions with a PR release that makes them seem like angels (and guiltless) and the Xbox that should have been, will be. We deserve what we tolerate.
Why is it that nearly every windows based tablet (and most notebooks) get stuck with crappy resolution? The sub $300 kindle fire has 1920x1200! The nexus (at $400) has 2560x1600! And Razer can't even hit 1080p?
It's funny. In every single monster/dinosaur/alien movie ever, we can master genetic engineering, quantum computing, and feats that defy description, but we've lost the art of simple chain/rope/cable construction...
