Checked my inbox at Gamespot the other day and found I had lost points due to commenting old topics (several times). Seems that members can get points for reporting abuse of the rules. Rules which are not crystal-clear to me.

Now I wonder - When is a Game discussion old and should'nt be revived. Is the tread closed? I have'nt found any means to check if a forum tread is old or obsolete (other than checking date of course).

So far I know, games older than 5 years are still sold in gameshops - often at a discount, making them "new" for the user. Same problems others experienced will be found. And discussed. Please stop profit from reporting members for discussing old topics!

In GTA SA you have to compete in triathlon at two different locations. First you swim, then go biking and then run. The first time I did this, I didn't have full muscle, but full stamina. Starting from Santa Maria beach I made it all the way to SF and won! Trying the other "beat the cock was a horror. I just couldn't get the bike uphill fast enough, everybody was so ahead of me that there was no chance to even see them anymore. On one occasion however, I made it, thus being able to complete the game 100%.

This summer Me and my son reinstalled the game on a new computer and played it all over again. I was amazed to see my son's score in this "beat the cock"-race and asked how he did it. - He TAPPED repeatedly on the up-arrow to speed up the biking! Wow, I had'nt known THAT. Piece of cake. But I still had won both races without doing it.

Many gameshops and warehouses in Sweden have had sales on MAFIA for a couple of years now. Personally I have three copies of the PC-game. The first I bought full price, the second as a backup if damaged, the third for my children who lives with their mother, not realizing they also bought a copy for themselves. (alas - a total of 4 in the family.) Great game, still playable even though it was released in 2002.

Are they getting good pay? Do they have a satisfying life? Check the stats on the characters. The Movies are more reality than ever nowadays.

If you registered your game "to get news and updates" there is a chance you have a registry-file somewhere that prevents you from reinstalling. Simply because your uninstall wasn't thorough. Try with several registrycleaners. I personally prefer Easy-cleaner (freeware) from Toni Arts, since you can regret a cleaning of registry if it don't work. There is also a program called Unlocker (also freeware), which can be used if you want to get rid of something that won't uninstall properly. That is, if you know what file to get rid of - of course.

VISTA sucks, there is a homepage dedicated to this. Anyway, my kids have been playing Sims & Sims2 for a while, and I bought them "The Movies" and also the first "Action-expansion-pack". (They seem to be very similar.)

We installed on my Acer Aspire (AMD64 X2 4200+, ATI Radeon X1650SE, 2GB Ram, Vista Home Premium) and had no problems, runs like sh-t off a shiny showel. Known fact is that Vista has many "security"-issues, preventing people to install and run whatever they want. First thing to do if problems occur is to reboot without ANY autostart objects running.

Scarface is not "good". It really craves a good computer to be run on. As seen on other postings in this forum, controls sucks. The Godfather is much better, even though most interiors looks the same. The storyline can be played in 1-2 days or so, but becoming Don of NY takes a little longer. Car handling is far from GTA, but the fun thing in this game is your ability to grab, strangle, punch and "execute" your victim. Get yourself a Godfathergame, at least it is worth the money you pay for it.

Use your gamepad on your X-box. PC-players uses kb+m.

(By the way, anyone heard that ONE/THIRD of all X-boxes sold first halfyear, was so faulty they had to be sent back to factory to be fixed!)(hmmm... Microsoft)

Your problem is trying to use gamepad, which sucks in GTA. Don't.
