Im looking at doing some more PC gaming and I just have some basic questions about steam.

Is this the best way to buy PC games?

Is there any disadvantage to using steam?

Anything I should know before I get started?

Thanks

truth is, you will never be as good as someone playing with an arcade stick.jrlc1

Not true, even though using a stick can make execution easier it doesnt teach you the theory behind the game.

Do most of the really good players use sticks? Of course, but thats not the only reason they are good at the game.

Start with one character and learn how to do all their moves, then learn some of their simplier combos, and then learn how to combo into your specials. Mission is a good start for doing all of this, but you need to spend time in training room trying these things out.

Once you have that down for one character, do it for another. Keep doing that until you have a team that works for you. I think a mistake people make is trying to learn 3 characters at once.

I wish more sports games were like the show, its realistic and instead of trying to please everyone they just make the game fair. Yea it has a steep learning curve for newcomers, but its so satisfying when you put it all together.

Anyways I think in the long run the show is the more satisfying game.

That should work just fine, but if you are only going to use it to back up your PS3 I dont think you need to go that big.

And remember you will have to format it to fat32 before you back up your ps3 data on it.

Here is an easy way to look at it, ask yourself would you still be playing the game if trophies didnt exist? If the answer is no you are probably wasting your time.

I enjoy collecting trophies, but I only go back for ones that I enjoy getting either for the challenge or fun factor.

Lots of people still play, unless you play at crazy times there will lots of different people to play.

Just be warned, if you dont play a lot of fighting games you probably wont win much at the start lol.
