Well I will apologize to you as I did bring out the insults first, I mistook you for the kid saying that graphics will be needing downscaling for 360 vs. PS3 based on the drive. SuicideVanV2

Wow lol i was just stating what John Carmack said about the amount of storage on each format, im almost positive John Carmack knows alot more than you on formats and console capabilities, go to the id website and look for yourself what he says about the disc royalties for the new game RAGE.

[QUOTE="Strife88"]This is the first I'm hearing anything about this.SuicideVanV2

Nah, the rumor surfaced around the web.

I'm confused too. I dont think it would be possible to read a superior format through an update

Actually it is. The resolution on the screen has little to do with the storage format for the video (in this case DVD). There is already movies out with extra discs called Xtreme DVD or something or annother. I have a T2: Judgement Day version of one of these sets. One disc contains a 1080p Dolby 5.1 version of the entire film. Which is entirely possible, a DVD is about 8 gigs worth of storage space and an actual movie in 1080p resolution depending on the codec and length will take up about 4-8 gigs. Of course you need Media PLayer 11 codecs to play the disc...it would take very little for M$ to send out a codec update allowing these movies to be played in high def. This is why I have said from the begining that HD-DVD and Bluray were complete scams and that the DVD format was already fully capable of supporting movies of higher resolution. If you try to argue otherwise with me I would really like to know how my games on a DVD disc are able to display at 1080p from my 360. Bottom line is, most people are idiotic consumers. Bluray is going to be a failure as a format as it is, the general trend for movie and television watching is increasingly moving towards"On Demand" and streaming services thanks to high speed internet. With Netflix streaming thousands of videos instantly to my 360 it will be waaaaay more used than my PS3's bluray drive.

I think a negative to the DVD format would be game size, John Carmack said that their new game RAGE coming out will be on 1 blu-ray disc full 1080p while the 360 game will be on full HD on 3 discs only if MS pays the disc royaltys otherwise the game will be on the 360 on 2 discs at downscaled graphics. Unless they can stream full HD video games at half the price of the disc then blu-ray is much better.

Well it's not an enemy and i have to say the beggers in Asassins creed.poo10

yes this is true, the beggers and the retards who go up to you and punch you, you can beat the f*** outta them and they go off cryin just to come back for more, ive had to flee the scene so many times when i get fed up and just shank those fools lol. so annoying.

The most annoying enemy in gaming though, is in super mario64 u jack the koopa's shell and your havin all the fun in the world when suddenly u hit a solid object.....everyone who has done this will agree with me lol.

I will go with cod4 for best online fps

And bioshock for best story-fps

playing bioshock for me was just so suspenseful, it reminded me of those days playing halflife2 on those creepy abandoned dark tunnels full of crabheads *shivers*

[QUOTE="gamerfreak1991"]Either Halo 3 or The Orange Box.Jdog30
Halo 3 by far! the on-line is great. it's the only game i have for 360. it's so good.

If its the only game you own, then obviously you have no other choice?

Quotes taken directly from the Fallout3 Team of Devs. As you can see bethesda will keep whatever made the originals so great.

Obviously we had the old games to look at, and Fallout 1 became our main model and inspiration. I always preferred the tone of it, and it's the one we focused our time on dissecting. We also went through all the original source material, as well as the "Fallout Bible," put together by Chris Avellone, whose work is always fantastic. But one of my favorite sources, when we received everything (yes, everything) from Interplay, is the original "Fallout Vision Statement", back when it was called "Fallout: A GURPS Post Nuclear Adventure." This is the document detailing what Fallout was to be, and is a 14-point bulleted list. Here they are, in order, with direct quotes (enjoy - I know I did):

  1. Mega levels of violence. "When people die, they don't just die - they get cut in half, they melt into a pile of goo, explode like a blood sausage, or several different ways - depending on the weapon you use."
  2. There is often no right solution. "Like it or not, the player will not be able to make everyone live happily ever after. "
  3. There will always be multiple solutions. "No one ****of play will be perfect."

The others are: "The players actions affect the world.", "There is a sense of urgency," "It's open ended," "The player will have a goal," "The player has control of his actions," "Simple Interface," "Speech will be lip-synched with the animation," "A wide variety of weapons and actions," "Detailed character creation rules," "just enough GURPS material to make the GURPSers happy. The game comes first." That one is actually crossed out in the document, as they dropped GURPS, and lastly:

14. "The Team is Motivated" "We want to do this. We care about this game and we will make it cool."

Ten years later and I don't know that I would change a word of what we want to do today. Especially that last one. We have an incredibly passionate and amazing group here; I've been privileged to work with many of them for over a decade. Hopefully in another 10 years people will look back and say, "Nope, they didn't screw it up." Hopefully.
