"It'll be $350 on release"
"We'll be selling them at cost"
"Pigs used to have wings the size of canada"

Which of those lies is the odd one out?

The last one because Palmer didn't say it. (To my knowledge. He may have tried selling that lie too - who knows?)

@silversix_: I don't doubt a 290x would provide at least a semi-decent experience. nVidia's "seven times the graphics processing power" is simply a marketing lie to sell more top end nVidia cards, sporting it's new 'VR Ready' brand. VR doesn't require NASA computers by any means, just a high end gaming PC.

For reference, it has to generate 2x90fps obviously - but that's at 1080x1200 res. For a total of 2160x1200@90hz -- barely more than standard 1920x1080 in which it's veeeeeeeery easily managable to output significantly more than 90fps on a single high end card. It takes a little more work than simply 2160x1200@90hz due to the features of VR (such as head tracking and splitting the image etc) - but that will give you a rough baseline to see how much power is required. Ignore nVidia marketing BS.

For those on the fence about God's existence -- Pretty sure this proves it. Be as annoying as humanly possible and get rewarded with millions and free goodies =(

Overly harsh review imho. I found the game a lot of fun, especially trying to unlock the bonuses by completing each mission with the required challenges completed -- some of them were VERY challenging, one of them required you to finish in less than 12 minutes or so? and I kept getting 12:02, 12:05, 12:01 etc. It requires you to adapt your tactics of who to take out first (if at all) and often change your loadout to match your tactic.

Sure you can breeze through the game without going into any of that, but as with this reviewer - you wouldn't enjoy the game as much.

@blkgto Such an old and very outdated argument that's no longer valid. You only really *need* to "dump" money into PCs every 4 years or so these days, not accounting for part failure, to keep a high end rig. Sure it works out more expensive than consoles, but game prices are cheaper and you don't have draconian Xbone policies nor PSN fees to pay for. So in the end I dare say after an 8 year cycle you've still come out better off with a PC :p

Of course, that's not to say consoles aren't worth getting - but for the right reasons.. The reasons being the exclusives.

If only they did make it a quality product every year. It's been stale since AC2.

@Lord_Sesshy @painpas No it doesn't. At least not from Bungie.

MMOFPS has been done before a few times aswel, Tabula Rasa immediately springing to mind.. Along with Planetside and I *think* FireFall? Though I've not played FireFall nor do I much care to look more into it.
