I'm 20, and My parents are 48 and 50 ( they also have a wii). Though I feel the need to add like everyone else only buy the wii if your interested in the games, don't buy it because of the average age of a wii gamer...

I agree with this post 100%. I rember back when I had my 64 I just bought games off the shelf without looking at reviews ( i didn't have the internet then). Then when the next gen came out i decided to look at some reviews for the nintendo 64 games I owned and I would say 60% of them were rated pretty bad, yet I absolutely loved them.

It was after reading those that is stopped reading reviews for scores and staring reading them because they told me what was in the game and if I like what I read I would usually go out and buy/rent ( though i havent rented anyting in years) no matter what the score was

Even though I know no one here uses gamerankings at all, I think SMG has a good chance for Game of the year. Since its the only game i've ever seen displace ocarina of time as the hgishest rated game of all time ( as an average review from alll the major sources.) whihc doesnt mean that GS will give it GOTY, but thats pretty immpresive.

(note I'm hoping for Crysis to win)

[QUOTE="DSgamer64"]

[QUOTE="Sonic_on_crack"]Wii dominates sales leading by less than a million ?Sonic_on_crack

If you bothered to look, VGChartz has it at 11.4 million now :P

and it has the 360 at 10.79 ..... thats less than a million

I think the domination idea comes from the fact that the 360 ha dthe advantage oof being launched first

[QUOTE="Samurai_Xavier"]

Yeah, a failure, as the 3rd best selling system in the world.

bulletmath

Second best selling handheld = the losing team = flop = failure

exactly when theres only 2 current gen handhelds on the market and your in second by a huge amount it means it lost, and I'm pretty sure its hasnt outsolf the GBA ( and maybe not even the gameboy but I dont know about that)

I think its popular now because nintendo was correct in playing the assumption that the market wanted something new, not just the same old thing over and over. (though on a side note I still enjoy traditional games as well, but i'm not the market)
