I just beat the forest temple.. When I go to the shiekah stone, it hints me on how to get to the fire temple. What do I do to start the goron sword sidequest?ZachMasta

Talk to the Cuckoo Lady in Kakariko Village (as adult Link.) She'll give you an egg that will hatch in a day. Once it has hatched, find Talon in one of the houses in Kakariko. (He's in the house that is straight ahead as you enter the village from Hyrule Field.) You'll find him sleeping on a bed, then pull out the hatched Cuckoo in front of him and he'll wake up. Then go back to the Cuckoo Lady and show the Cuckoo to her. She'll then give you a blue Cuckoo and explain to take it to some guy in the Lost Woods. The side-quest is pretty straightforward from there.

At some point you'll have to take a prescription to King Zora, but he'll be frozen. You'll need to capture some blue fire in a bottle to unfreeze him. It can be found in the Ice Cavern, which is located in the same area where Lord Jabu Jabu use to be. You should probably just clear the whole mini-dungeon while you're there, as I did. (As you can tell, I did things a bit out of order. :P)

Hope this helps. Let me know if you need further explanation. Good luck!

[QUOTE="Nintendo_Fan128"]

[QUOTE="BrunoBRS"]the stylus placement was NOT good for lefties. that's already a big enough reason for them to move to a more neutral position.BrunoBRS

The thing is, it's not in a neutral position. It's on the left...

well they can't put it on the same place as the cartridge slot :P

But they could put it in the middle of the front of the 3DS. This would still be a neutral position. The headphone jack will just double as a stylus holder too.

Remember getting this through my first play. Too bad it breaks after so many swings.WSGRandomPerson

I believe you are referring to the Giant's Knife, which can be bought for 200 rupees in Goron City. The Biggoron Sword is essentially the same thing, but doesn't break.

You're all wrong. Nintendo will NOT back down when the PSVita is launched. In fact, they will tackle Sony head-on!

Nintendo is going to actually raise the price of the 3DS to $325 this holiday season. People will still chose the 3DS over the Vita, especially by the end of the year, when there will be plenty of epic games out for the 3DS. Sony will be so embarrased and dishonored that it will perform seppuku. We will never hear from the company again.

To those who don't know: seppuku is a ritual performed by the Japanese, primarily the samurai. It is a form of ritual suicide. Many Japanese have performed seppuku because it allows them to die with honor, rather than be shamed by losing to the enemy. The ritual is part of the samurai code of honor. Don't believe me? Look it up. So it is highly likely that Sony will perform seppuku when the 3DS outsells the Vita, in attempt to preserve the company's honor.

My sword is bigger and twice as strong as your sword. That is, if you're still using the Master Sword in Ocarina of Time.

But if you too have managed to get the Biggoron's sword, then your sword = my sword.

I just got this sword after completing the somewhat lengthy side quest. The rest of the game should be a breeze now. Just about to enter the Fire Temple and my bigger sword will surely help me out.

And the range of the spin attack is crazy, no enemies can touch me! So if you haven't taken the time to get the Biggoron's sword yet, you should check it out. 8)

I do agree that ending up at Link's house after saving at certain places is annoying; but once you get the ability to ride a horse, it's not as big of a deal.

Haziqonfire

That part can get annoying, especially if a player always turns off their system. I usually just close the 3DS, putting it to sleep when I'm ready to take a break. Then I can pick it back up a couple hours later and can start where I left off.

But I actually think starting at Link's house/Temple of Time makes the game better as a whole. It seems much more satisfying when you get Epona and can suddenly travel everywhere with ease. :)

[QUOTE="JamTKD"][QUOTE="soulreaper-4"] Oh my gosh a fortune teller. No offense but do you work for Nintendo?soulreaper-4
Dude chill out.in both of your posts you're just a big bag of salt. Unnecessary.

I may be the big bag of salt but you're the salt.

It's probably best that you not post anymore. Before you make yourself look like an even bigger idiot.

Im new to zelda completely and have been playing ocarina of time, im up to the forest temple and so far i can't say ive been enjoing it.

1. Im finding it annoing, comfusing and fustrating.

2. i hate the fact that when you save and restart you end up at links house/temple of time and have to run all the way back to were you was.

3. i dislike the lack of direction which can lead to pointless running about not really getting anywere (Until You Use A Guide)

4. and the fact that you can end up dieing from simply not being able to target a foe properly.

dont get me wrong there are somethings i like such as the sound track and graphics (3DS Version), but apart from that i keep wanting to put it down.

now on the other hand ive started playing Zelda TP and im so far loving every moment.

so am i missing somthing here guys, or do i just get too irritated easily? P.s. Sorry For The Spelling.

xxste92xx

1. What part(s) do you find confusing? It seems pretty straight forward to me. Except, of course, the dungeons. But they are designed to make a person think. I find this aspect of Zelda games very enjoyable. Zelda games are not always like, "Go here and do this", which makes it all the more rewarding when you do solve the problem/puzzle; it's like an "Aha!" moment. Nintendo even added Sheikah Stones that give you hints, which weren't in the original.

Many games today seem too linear. Like Infamous, it's a good game, but you always know your next objective, so it tends to get monotonous. I only made it halfway through because it didn't hold my interest.

2. Although I see this more as a minor inconvenience, there are a couple solutions. If you want to take a break in the middle of a dungeon (or anywhere in the game), save the game then press "continue." Then close your 3DS, which will put it in sleep mode. Next time you open it, you can pick up where you left off.

Or, right before you're ready to quit (in the middle of a dungeon), use Farore's Wind and it will leave a warp point at the entrance of the room that you're in. Next time you turn on the game (and you're at the beginning of the dungeon), use Farore's Wind again and select "travel to warp point." You'll warp to the location you were in before you quit! 8)

3. The lack of direction? Na'vi often reminds you where to go. And you can always play Saria's song and talk to her. She usually tells you what you need to do.

4. I don't understand this. :? L-Targeting works brilliantly. It allows you to track every movement of an enemy. Although, the shoulder buttons on the 3DS are small. This has caused me to accidentally lose track of the L-Target. Now I just make sure to firmly press L when I want to target.

Hope I addressed your concerns. Glad you chose to try out Zelda, and I hope you grow to enjoy it. More people need to experience the amazing Zelda games! :D
