I used to play Gunz: The Duel way back in the day, and I remember hearing about this early on... but I thought it was supposed to have Gunz style combat in a fantasy setting with quests and stuff? Not this... Tera -esque crap D:

I can kinda understand where the opposition is coming from (NOT the trolls who are harrassing her mind, but the regular not extreme people >.>)Let's look at the Lara Croft example... they like her because she's a strong independent woman, but then they dislike that she's used as a sex object. The problem is, how would you fix that? Make her ugly? Remove her sexuality? If you were to do either of those things, she wouldn't be Lara Croft anymore. Her sexuality and strong independent personality are important parts to her character.There's some very clear examples of sexism in video games. Don't use half decent characters like Lara Croft as examples of sexism. Use X Blades or Tera Online or something. Pretty much everyone can agree those are perfect examples of sexism and oversexualization. Also Samus as a reward is a great example, so find other situations like that. Look for the examples of sexism that are very clear and distinct that would be hard to argue against, and avoid characters like Lara Croft. Also, try to find examples of sexuality done right in video games. Maybe Catherine would be an example, since *SPOILERS?* Catherine is using her sexuality as a means of controlling the protagonist while Katherine is an independent ambitious woman who doesn't really do anything sexual that I can recall (Except I think in ONE of the "false" endings).Its a VERY important topic for gaming, be careful with it and try not to take it to extremes.
I agree with the article's point on tablets. I don't have a tablet, so if the Wii U's controller can function as a semi-portable tablet I can use around the house to just browse the internet or check my e-mail, I'd actually really consider it. And if you could view PDFs with it I'd pretty much be sold, hell I bet my mom would use it too at that point. She's been wanting a tablet for a while.
@Rickiej You basically just proved the point of the article. I for one enjoy a good story in a game, and while I probably wouldn't ever use it (except in a game like my examples), I see no reason why something like this shouldn't be implemented for people who only want the interactive story without any of the challenge associated with it. This would've been awesome for me in Persona 4, for example, when normal mode became too difficult by the end of the game, and my only options were to either grind or quit (and I HATE grinding). I ended up going to Persona 3 on easy mode after that. Infact this would be AWESOME for a lot of JRPGs where you just grind and grind so you can see more story; the only reason I never finish FF games is because the combat is SO DULL, even if I do want to see how the story ends. And this attack just goes to show that Reddit is filled with all the people that even a certain chan site didn't want around anymore...
