EA has lied about MTXs, released bug-ridden and broken messes and just flat out closed companies that were developing awesome-sounding titles so many damned times that I have been in "I'll-believe-it-when-I-see-it" frame of mind when it comes to anything they do and/or say for years now.
As sadly hyper-cynical as that attitude may be: when it comes to EA-- it's saved me a lot of heartache over the years so, rather than try to shake myself out of it, I've just taken to recommending it as a sanity-saving stance when dealing with reports/statements from/about EA. lol.
I doubt they really can mess it up, a single player horror title... MTX? Not interested, so doesn't concern me. They could put something important behind a paywall, but why? Was the game so popular you'd risk sales by doing something so stupid? They could release it riddled with bugs, but... yeah we'll see. Maybe they'll do all of that :D
Revisions have begun. People on here claimed that the gen 9 consoles won't be revised. I countered that both will get major performance and form factor revisions in 2023. I think my bet is looking pretty good right now.
A partly forced "revision" caused by semiconductor shortage doesn't count. I hope we get a PS5 PRO and SX2 in the coming years, or a shorter generation.
Did they fix the microstuttering yet? I already uninstalled the game, wish Sony had something like Forza Horizon, the only racer I care about after Mario Kart (which I have played to death).
@Barighm: No, because it was a pile of BS. No need for the wall of text. Higher framerate doesn't make a game look like plastic... and shiny wtf? If anything it's the use of low res normal maps with the heavy use of specular maps that makes everything look like plastic.
@Epak_: Have you seen what happens when a game from that time period gets pushed up to 60fps? They become all shiny and everything looks like plastic. No way. Dead Space needs to stay dark and gritty.
