Alright. Let's settle this with a list.

Forza 3:

-better online functionality and features
-more customization options
-better AI

GT5:

-better graphics
-better gameplay (physics, handling, greater variation between cars, better road feel)
-more cars
-more realistic damage modeling
-more variety (kart racing, rally racing on snow/dirt, weather effects and day/night transition for endurance races)
-up to 16 cars on track compared to Forza's 8

In conclusion, GT5 is for people who want to drive cars and Forza is for people who want to dress them up :P

The_RedLion

No. Lens of truth gives the overall graphical edge to Forza 3.

800 of them are uglyPs2/PSP cars :?

Wut. There's not even damage in the first 40 levels. :?

With terrible AI.

No. They said it runs better I believe, but GT5 is clearly more advanced.

They still handle better than anything in Forza ;)

Lens of Truth said GT5's damage was more realistic. Only gonna use them when it's convienent huh?

I already said Forza had better AI.

Better gameplay lol wut? critically Forza has completely destroyed GT5 across the boards. So much for those delays paying off

Even the gamespot review praises the gameplay and calls it the most realistic racing game on consoles. The driving in GT5 is simply better, sorry.

[QUOTE="wdave92"]This game is clinically underrated here honestly. As a sim it does better then Forza, but lacks in some areas. Personally I could care less about customization, but it is an important feature for many people. What I struggle to understand is why people blast its gameplay, Yes its Gran Turismo what do you think its going to play like? Sure as hell is not going to play like Need For Speed: Shift (Which I enjoyed for quite some time) And its sure isn't going to play like iRacing. What this rant boils down to is the reviewer complaining about wild inconsistencies, and personally I agree with his some of his complaints. Yes i would have loved if every car had "Premium Status" But that's certainly not the case, what we can focus on is that those cars all drive spectacularly. Here the Pros outweigh the cons, Yes I would have loved if my RUF Yellowbird was a premium model, but it still drives like a madman, and i'm enjoying every bit of it. Now that I have come off my soapbox if anyone wants to race send me a PM and ill message you back with my PSN so we can race :pjimmypsn

GT5 has no advanceddamage til level 40. How is that realistic.

Forza 3 lets you rewind your mistakes. How is that realistic?

[QUOTE="QUIKnEZ"]

- 6 Years in development (enough for 2 generations - possible 3 generations depending on Forza 4-Kinect - of superior Forza games), there is NO excuse for such poor ratings and a half-baked product

- Massive AAA (even AAAA) hype

- COMPLETE and UTTER flop

What a sad state of affairs, GT5 fanboys can make the claim of the "fans choice" and of course point to favorable reviews to dull the pain, but not only have the vast majority of reviews vindicated FORZA as the best racing simulation available on any console, but FORZA is the best racing line period (The facts speak for themselves).

I'll trust the likes of Gamespot, IGN, Jalopnik and pretty much every major reputable gaming/auto site that also reinforces the above.

PD time to break the mold, take some risks and innovate.

FORZA FTW!!!

Oh and $60 million dollars. Just though I would add. Hmmm I wonder if Sony will ever be will to shell that out again?

Considering the Prologue sold 5 million and this will sell even more, I wouldn't doubt it. It's been a good investment on Sony's part.

I don't know if anyone noticed, but the reviewer did call it the best Gran Turismo ever and gave it a "great sequel" emblem :P

[QUOTE="johny300"][QUOTE="Fried_Shrimp"]loooooooooooool flop of the year. Fable 3 wasn't hyped a 10 by all the Lemmings!Fried_Shrimp
No not flop of the year.

Yes flop of the year. The hype for Gran Turismo was insane. Cows where hyping it 10 left and right.

On GS definitely. But nothing can top FFXIII in the real world.
