The people hating it are the elitist hardcore fanboys, who expect every sequel to be exactly the same as the first game. They're stuck in the past and if it would be up to them we'd be in a situation where Skyrim would be identical to Arena. They're the minority though compared to the vast number of people who buy the games. The rest actually play the games rather than whining about them.
