if you want to go beyond the ps3 and 360 then don't stop there, how about comparing how much each company has sold as a whole? From Sony's Tvs to Microsofts software on computers, I'm sure M$ would be the winner lol. So, when we talk about the 360 outsold the PS3 we don't go beyond that. The key in this situation is that :

The 360 has outsold the PS3....
