Hate Aisha all you want, but she -does- take an interest in video games. I think she's a horrible presenter, but I wouldn't doubt that she knows her stuff - that's really the only time she seems to be naturally speaking (although, I do have to say she definitely was a lot better at this E3 than the last two)
For me, the biggest game has to be Counter-Strike. I've been playing the game on and off for most of the franchise's life, sitting on about 14 years. I've put thousands of hours into 1.3 - 1.6 well into highschool, and even when I went on to play 360 with my friends, I'd return to dust2 every so often. Now, I've clocked almost 700 hours into csgo, and I have no signs of slowing. I usually mention games like Metal Gear as games that are my favourite of all time, but I will always have a soft spot for Counter-Strike.
@QLemont I'm more insulting your lack of use of the letter 'C' while trying to be cutesy or unique, either way I didn't bother reading what you had to say because of it. And it's funny you had to fish my profile for someone to say back to me.
Very well said, it's hard trying to convince people to at least give Titanfall a try simply because 'IT'S JUST COD WITH MECHS'. Sure, gunplay mechanics are similar, but that's basically where it ends. It's a whole different beast in comparison, and I feel it's something people needed to try before they knock. Personally, I've been kinda out of COD since Black Ops, since every iteration was just becoming tiresome and samey, with some kind of little gimmick to try and make it fresh. Titanfall feels like what happens when someone sits down and says 'we really should revitalize that kind of game'
They really liked to throw the fact it's 'HD' in your face, yet everything looks the same, just it will obviously run at a higher resolution. But I saw nothing about 'controller support' and maybe even better controls on mouse and keyboard then the atrocity we had with the original PC version.
Capcom, if you really want people's money, -show- them a reason to buy it again. Saying buzzwords like 'HD' and '60fps' doesn't really fit with the PC crowd, since they're more interesting in wanting to run 4k at 120+fps.
These videos are so damn awesome to watch, but it's hilarious that most of the games that came out this year I seemed to either miss or was disappointed in (Dead Space 3 and Infinite immediately come to mind)
