The condition of online gaming is very bas in my country. The only game we have here is cs 1.6 and dota :( I want to start up maybe games like battlefield play4free. But internet here has just started growing and most people are on a 192kbps line. Me on a 384 kbps and there are some who have 512 kbps and a very handful have 1 mbps. I was wondering if it was possible to play online on 192 kbps if the servers are in Nepal. Because we have servers here that can run cs perfectly. So does bf because its a very heavy game need very high speed connection or will people with 192 kbps be able to play just like cs and dotaare played?? Any help is appreciated.

Had I wanted to purchase a PC earlier this year it would almost certainly have been an Alienware m11x. The price was just right, it was a gaming laptop, it was portable, had HDMI, integrated graphics for non gaming tasks. I still think its stupid that Alienware discontinued it.

So now that the m11x is gone, is there any equivalent laptop that's about 11-13", costs around $1000, is portable and not back hurting brick.

Clevo w110ER.... Awesome for an 11.6 inch laptop. It is similar in specs to an alienware m14x

Or you
You can download Ubuntu and put it on a DVD, and then you can just try it out at first before you actually install it.
Hello, I am not that knowledgable in computer hardware so I was wandering which of the two GTX 660 or 7870 to get, I currently have a 5870.

I am choosing between:

http://www.amazon.com/Sapphire-Radeon-GDDR5-Graphics-11199-03-20G/dp/B007JCNOY6/ref=sr_1_2?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1353907167&sr=1-2&keywords=7870

http://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-PCI-Express-Displayport-Graphics-GV-N660OC-2GD/dp/B00942TK8I/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1353907069&sr=8-3&keywords=660

On a side note, I think it will work on my system but if anyone knows I have the following:

 • Intel Core i7 860 (2.80Ghz/8MB/LGA1156/Quad Core)
 • Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD4 MB, intel P55, DDR3 2000, PCI-Ex 16, SATA3, USB 3.0, RAID, GbE LAN, 8CH Audio, 2oc PCB, SLI and Crossfire, Heatpipe, ATX.
 • Sapphire Radion HD5870 (850mhz), 1GB GDDR5, (2400mhz), PCI-E-2.0, DVI, HDMI, Display Port
 • Corsair 4GB Kit (2x8GB), PC12800, (1600MHz) DDR3, XMS3, 9-9-9-24, Dual Channel Kit
 • Asus DRW-24BIST 24xDVD-RW, 12xDVD+RW, 40xCDRW, SATA, NER08, SM
 • Western Digital 1TB, SATA-II, 7200RPM, 32MB cache
 • CoolerMaster CM 690, ATX, no PSU.2x USB2.0, tool free drive bays
 • Antec EathWatts 650W ATX Power Supply, 80 PLUS certified, 120mm low noise cooling fan, Dual 12V outputs, 2xPCI express, 4 x SATA, 6 x IDE
 • Windows 7 Home Premium

for the interface 7870. For driver support, 660. Cheerz

15 inch screen, preferably larger

4 GB of RAM (don't need more)

320-500 GB hard-drive

Fast(ish) dual-core

Decent integrated graphics

Decent speakers

Decent cooling

Good keyboard and touchpad

Non-hideous

4-5 hour battery life

Limited bloatware

Less than 6 pounds

I'm willing to spend a bit more than $500

The laptop is not for me.

I'd like to purchase it from a non-obscure website (Newegg, Bestbuy, Compusa, tigerdirect, etc)

Riadon2
Heres one with a 17 inch screen, i3 2nd gen, 6 gigz of ram and 750 gig hard drive. Go buy it first. Thank me later :) Cherios
