The impression I got from the books is that the shield world Onyx took those Forerunners it could on a one way trip to some planet in another dimension or something, so they did survive, it really confused me XD

In my mind i hope the Precursors came at the last second just before the ring fired and rescued (teleported) the Forerunners to another galaxy which is free from Floods.

I don't think Forerunners can go to another dimension as their skill level isn't at that level yet, only Precursors are able to do that.

Also, i know Master Chief was born and raised as a human with unique features that stands above others. But what did Guilty Spark mean by saying, "You are the child of my makers. Inheritor of all they left behind. YouareForerunner. But this ring...ismine."?

Does that mean Master Chief was identical to a Forerunner in terms of his attributes and the main one which is 'Luck'? Or every Spartan is like a Forerunner? Physically and mentally strong also powerful will of justice and leadership + judgemental skills? Maybe Spartans resembles the Forerunner the most in comparison to all other species?

I just realised something whilst reading the Halo wikia. Hunters cannot be infected by the Flood, therefore maybe the scientist can create some kind of anti-flood potion to repel or destroy the infection? I thought it'd be a good idea so they can make another Halo game - Halo 4: Revenge [on the flood].

The Forerunners were well aware of the Flood as a major threat which is why they built the Halo arrays and the shield world Onyx in the first place (these things were being built while their outer worlds were falling). They simply didnt make it (or did they?) to the shield world in time to save themselves for posterity which is why they vanished leaving no trace.

As far as their affinity for humans that was never stated. One of the Forerunner scientist left behind claimed to have found a planet she said resembled Eden which she intended to plant a garden there. Basically planting the DNA of humanity but not humans themselves since they never wouldhave been able to survive the Halo blast.

OK, i'm clearer now but still you would of thought studying/fighting the Floods for 300 years would give them some incentive to repopulate themselves like they did with other species.

I understood they've built Halo rings within 300 years but i was wondering did the story specify how they've built it? I can't imagine how many Forerunners it took to create the Halo rings, each one is size of a very large planet. I mean it takes 10's of years to build one of the tallest building on Earth, 300 years to build dozen of planets is insane...

I do understand your perspective's but not enough gene pool for the forerunners? That's what's bugging me, they're the second cleverest species - after Precursors. All they need is few example (i guess?) of their own embryo like when they gathered the others (not a science guy but just using my common sense).

I do not believe Forerunners are human, well they don't look like it at first and secondly i think they've noticed the similarities between them and humans that's why they allow humans to access their technology. Like apes and human, they're entirely different species but are the same class in terms of evolution and closeness.

1 thing i did understand is that the flood is indestructible, they die but they'll always come back - well, unless you do wipe out every single one. But then again, i think the Precursors travelled to a new galaxy and got attacked by Flood and brought them back with them to our Galaxy which ended up destroying everything.

This bit just me babbling along lol: I find the Precursors very fascinating, being the cleverest species and little much is known about them, in reality humans are in tier 5 (from 0 the highest to 7 lowest) according to Halo'sTechnological Achievement Tier. The tier scale is somewhat quite accurate to reality. If highest human IQ is like 200+ then Forerunner that built Halo should be like 800 (planets creators), then Precursors probably top it with 1000 IQ - knowledge to speed evolution (which takes 10's of millions of years) and travel to another galaxy wooowssas!

Like you said about the books, i did think about buying it but saw another trilogy coming out, so i'm going to buy it when they're selling the whole collection pack (usually have a cool casing then buying singularly).

Few things i don't understand is, if the Forerunners destroyed the Flood. How did the flood come back?

Also, if the Forerunner knew how to repopulate all kind of species like Human, Covenant etc... Why don't they repopulate themselves?

Lastly, is there going to be another Halo game? I want to know more after Halo 3. I know Bungie said they've stopped but they said that they weren't going to make Halo 3, then Halo 3, ODST, Wars and Reach came out...
