It's Rockstar week...random, quick, short sales...I think it's to keep people checking the website frequently and to get them to make quick-decision purchases without thinking about it to much.
The publishers of the games set the prices, not Steam. Many of the publishers are too stupid to know that they would make more money dropping the price to what it actually should be after costs are taken out for making the boxes, manuals, cd's, storage, shipping, etc.
SC is only supposed to be about 6 hrs long it says in most reviews. I wouldnt buy it.

I knew there was something off when you said 360 degree carnage...So I did some Googling and found that it is actually 41,252.961 square degrees of carnage (the number of degrees in a sphere). lol

Why? It's more cluttered and you have to click a lot more times to get the information that you would get in one click on one screen in the old version.
If you'd actually use it enough you'd see that you have no idea what you're talking about, the store has more "options" that you "don't" have to click, everything is like the old one only different but did you know that you only need 1 click, some typing and another click to find the game you're looking for? yes it's called search and if you know how to write the name of the game it'll give you the direct link to the game and that is twice as fast as the old steam because of the method used and because the client is a lot faster, as for games you have different views, even the classic view, community is the same, settings are the same.
Is it cluttered? yes it is with a lot of useful information, for the game pages, for the main store page some "not that importing things" are there and some like them but knowing what games your friends got or the number of users on Steam isn't important, the library isn't cluttered.
It's better in any possible way.
I guess I'll have to screw with it some more and report back.
